Conspiracy Theory Time

OK everybody, I guess I'm just in one of those moods this week so here goes.

The Conspiracy theory is..... Did Iran play us (UK & USA) into removing Saddam for them?

Just recently, US forces raided the offices of Ahmed Chalabi, leader of the Iraqi National Congress. He is accused of passing secrets on to the Iranians.
Apparently, the NSA had broken the code used by the Iranian secret service which allowed them to read their communications. So far, so good.
Somehow, Chalabi received this information and passed it on to the Iranians. The Iranians were so surprised (apparently) that their communications were broken, they immediately started querying each other by coded message to check things out.
Naturally, the NSA picked up and decoded a message saying that Chalabi said blah blah blah and therefore knew that he had passed on secrets.

With me so far?

Lets go back a bit. Ahmed Chalabi was one of Iraqs biggest dissidents and as leader of the Iraqi National Congress, had the most to gain from Saddams downfall.
While he was in exile, guess who was passing on all the information to the Defence Inteligence Agency and the CIA about Saddams capabilities and crimes. Yep, you guessed it, good ol' Ahmed himself.
Until very recently, Chalabi was being touted as the new President of Iraq and being supported by us.
So, bottom line, did the Iranians, in colusion with Chalabi feed false information to make us attack Iraq thus removing their old enemy Saddam, a man they were unable to defeat?

Agreed, it all sounds a bit "Tom Clancy" but there you go.

What's the chances? Have we been had?

Thats an interesting theory. We'll see what other skeletons come out of that guy's closet. It would be a shame if a lying, manipulative dirtbag like that had an accident. Maybe you should be writing the books.

Ahhh, conspiracy theories they are indeed fun, how this one:

Ahmed Chalabi is a poor smuck who “thought” he was playing the US against Iraq for his own gain. However what the smuckster did “not” take into account was that perhaps the US knew of his intentions and played him…

Iran IS on the list of evil empires and Terrorist Lovers United “TLU” (it’s a worldwide liberal organization) therefore it just may be once we are done in Iraq and since we are so close we “may” just decide to take care of Iran while we’re there…

Conspiracy theories are indeed fun…

Forget going into Iran....it will implode on it's own (what with the students revolting and such)

We need to go into Syria. (And Saudi Arabia ...but that ain't gonna happen).

Saddam tricked us into going into Iraq. He wanted to get rid of his two sons and he has a block buster movie deal with his friends in Hollywood.
