heard about this Dodge MaxxCab?

I'm reading some internet rumours that Dodge will be introducing a MaxxCab pickup in '06 or '07.

Apparently this is a 6 door pickup, a crew cab with a supercab behind it. So picture 4 full size doors with half sized suicide doors behind the rear doors.

I'm picturing something that looks like an Expedition or Tahoe with a bed on the back. Not unlike that Suburbalanche that appeared here not to long ago.

No word on bed sizes to go with the longer cab.

Gotta hand it to Dodge. They always come up with new and inventive ways to make their sorry trucks even worse. Can you imagine the gas mileage in a 6 door Dodge pickup. It'll get 3-4mpg tops.

Are 6 doors really nessesary? Where is the market for such a vechicle?! Soccer moms who do landscaping work while the kids are in school?

The payload/towning must be really low with all that extra wieght... I wonder if that thing will have a HEMI?!

Since this is a public board I'll be nice and express my opinion of new Chrysler products as looking just plain funky. Well, most of their products anyway. The only one that I can think of that I like the styling on is the Viper, and some Jeep products. The others just look wierd, and it sounds like they are about to add another wierdo to the family.

I guess they had to do something.... I think that with their so-called "fullsize" rear doors, unless you're under 14 years old sitting back there, you're better off with a SuperCrew.

A guy at work has a 4 door Dodge, and it's cramped compared to a SuperCrew.

I'm not a dodge fan, but my boss has a 04' 4 door ram, and I can sit in the backseat with great comfort. 6'3" 260lbs.

Yeay, a minivan with a pickup bed on it. I actually like the look of the dodge fullsize pickups right now other than the dinky second row in the 4 door. That thing is jjust fugly.

that Maxxcab is the name of a concept. What is going around is that Dodge is trademarking the name Maxxcab as a name for this cab style... just like the Powerstroke concept ended up being an engine name... the concept name doesnt always translate exactly in a production vehicle.

Well the folks at Nissan must be happy, that thing makes any complaints about the Titan's appearance seem minor. Honestly who is designing these things? Better yet, who greenlights these fugly designs when they see them? I guess that DC just needed another vehicle to drop that HEMI into.

OK. Move over Pontiac Aztec, you have just lost your position at the ugliest automobile ever. Congrats Dodge.

I don't see 6 doors either but I do see one incredibly ugly vehicle. I just don't get where these designers are coming from. And anyone who would buy something like that. Gotta be blind but then what are blind people doing buying vehicles??

I wouldn't go that far. The only thing i don't like about it is the interior. From the side view it looks like the front seat area is long and spacious, the actual interior shot looks really cramped.

The outside doesn't look horrible, but it looks like more of a driving truck than a hauling truck. Leave the real work truck to Ford.
