because the second you do they are no longer your best friend. At that point they are a lover or a fomer friend.

wife 15 years ago. I knew we couldn't just be
friends anymore...not with the thoughts I was
having. So I sucked it up and told her, we've
been happily married ever since. Once you
realize you feel that way about someone, you

Male, he is best friends with my older brother too...but my brother never comes around cause he lives far...I mean we are so meant for each other...hes been hurt in a relationship and so have I and when he talks about what he wants and etc... Im just thinking thats what i want too. And im over at his house everyday!! Its like my 2nd home. And for the past month I have jsut devloped these very strong feelings for him...like he liked my friend lisa and i was actually mad! I'd never get mad about that, but this time i did! :o I jsut dont even know how to tell him, what to say, etc...C'mon guys what would you like to hear from your best friend that is a girl and who is in love with you? What would you wanna hear that would just make you wanna be with her too!?

 

yeah, i mean everytime im with him i cant stop starig in his eyes...he has the most beautiful eyes! Its weird i never thought that I'd like an asain in this kind of way...haha

Say nothing.

Try initiating subtle contact, brushing his hand, playfully punching him. Use body language to let him know you are interested, then hopefully he will make the next move. If not, you make the next move.

Try isolating, ask him out to dinner and a movie, when you are walking in public lock arms. See how he reacts.

Don't go pouring your heart out if it won't be returned. Real life is not like Hollywood, if you pour your heart out and he doesn't feel the same, you're gonna get hurt.

 

I've been out of action for a lot of years (just celibrated our 40th wedding anniversery) so I don't have a great deal of experience at this sort of thing but I think you told us very well - just tell him the same thing.

The only thing I can tell you, for sure, is to just do it! Don't wait, do it today! Don't let the chance at "happily ever after" pass you by. The words don't really matter . . .

 

This is similar to what I did. I knew this guy since elementary school (he was a year ahead of me). After graduating high school we were still hanging around with the same crowd (we all played wallyball at least once a week). Slowly the group started to get smaller until one night when I was supposed to meet him & his best friend for a movie, but only he showed up. That was 10 years ago, we have been married for 4 years & our second child is on the way.
