Well, trapper it sounds like you don't have a dogs chance in Hell.
From BROTHERDAVEs' description you are going to lose by over a second and that is a long ways.

Leave the spare at home, turn off the Overdrive. try to have less than a 1/4 tank of gas when you get to the track.
100 pounds is worth a tenth and you need all the help you can get.

Have ZZ Tops' 'La Grange' playing, try to launch at the 35 second mark, that's when the song takes off.

Bring a brown paper bag in case you lose.
Bring an extra for the missus and some small brown lunch bags for the kids.

You want to win then here is how you guarantee a win, you will need:

1 - M80
1 – Can of nails

NOTE: Tell him you will take the crappy RIGHT lane…

When you get to the staging area let him stage first VERY IMPORTANT!

Then you “prepare” to stage. Just as you’re about ready to stage light the M80. Now QUICKLY stage. Once your light comes on telling you that you’re staged chuck the already lit M80 out your window towards his truck in the LEFT lane.

When that puppy blows it will scare the chit out of him, it will daze and confuse him and anyone else in the area. This is important because while everyone is daze and confused you now chuck the can of nails out your window so they land in front of this truck.

By now he “may” have gathered himself but will NOT recall the nails all over the place in his lane.

BOOM green light you go like a bat at of hell. Even though he will make it out of the gate he will have a hell of a time catching you with his tires deflating…

LMAO...you guys are nuts. I suppose I'm officially

hardware store...I hear they sell roofing tacks fairly
cheap.

We're headin' out this afternoon. We both pulled
up to a red Wednesday and had a little
preliminary competition. I had him by a 1/2 length
before backing off and letting him pass. I think
that little show of speed from the ol' big green Ford
made him a little paranoid. The next day he
started fishtailin' on me and said he wasn't aware
I was gonna take the 305s off and put the stockers
back on. He's a tad nervous now. We hit
the strip today at 1:00. I'm ready to get it over
with. To be honest, I'm not impressed with what
I've seen from his truck. I'll post back tonight
with the outcome.

I was going to take the HEMI challanged but the truck was broke down in the left turn lane. It was pretty funny watching 2 guys push a brand new dodge through one of our busiest intersections with a grip of cars waiting to go through. I wanted to ask them "That thing got a HEMI" (it obviously did) but I didnt want to be an @ss.

Chalk up one kill for my blown v6!

Here are the results...
In the 1/8, I beat him twice but only by a half length
or less.

In the 1/4, he beat me twice by about a length or a
little less both times.

From side by side at 50 mph, he outpulled me on
both attempts until we ran out of room. He was
ahead both times by about 1 1/2 to 2 truck lengths.
