Not really to hard to believe with the size of our military there would be a little over 600 of them complete wuss bag cowards afraid of doing the RIGHT thing which is the HARD thing.

Then Canada is hosting the two BIGGEST cowards. Once they get back I am sure they are in for a major *** whooping BIG TIME.

Here is the thing with most of them including the two punk ***, mama boy, wuss bags up in Canada at the moment, they are mooches and have committed a fraud against America. See these kind of morons join for education money they can get when they finish their enlistments plus some of the other benefits.

They HOPE to accomplish this without ever having to do what the military DOES at times and the ONLY reason we have a military which is to PROTECT America. You see the same thing with some of those that join the Guards then WHIN like babies about how they are losing money and all that BS.

Please don’t anyone try to tell me any of these FLUCKING cowards have a good excuse. NO the war is not illegal NO these guys do not have any kind of faith that prohibits them from fighting in a war, that has ALWAYS been a crock of CHIT. If someone’s faith prohibits them from fighting in a war then they should keep their *** out of our military.

Not ONE of these cowards has a leg to stand on and man oh man I wish I could meet up with one of them so I could KNOCK THE CHIT out of them.

they need to be completely kicked out of the military and given none of the benefits/education, and when employers look them up for a job they need to see MILITARY SERVICE: DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE. really though, who joins the military then refuses to fight? i know id have a hard time going in to the battlefield, but then id think of all the people id be protecting and keeping safe, then run in ready to fight. unlike them, i love my country, i love having all the freedoms i have, and i love all the soldiers that are fighting to allow me to have those freedoms. i can see how a lot of people would be scared to go fighting knowing they might be killed/captured/injured, if they are, they need to step up and admit they realized how scared they were when they got out there. the people that would be too scared would know before they enlist that they couldnt fight like that. i plan on joining in several years. i dont find things like that really scary. ok it is scary a little knowing you might not come back, but i could handle it. if a 2,500lb bull doesnt scare me a bit, an iraqi with a gun wont be scary

The story implies that this is the same as Vietnam exodus to Canada and it is not.
In the 60s and 70s those going to Canada were avoiding the draft, these guys were in the Service and deserted.

I was in the Army when Gerald Ford granted amnesty to the draft dodgers and was stationed at Fort Ben Harrison IN, one of the processing centers for those returning under amnesty. They were a ragged bunch for the most part, wrapped in horse blankets and worse.

These deserters aren't same thing. They had no problem with the military when it wasn't hot in the kitchen.

They should have stuck it out, made the best of it, then when they were out, protested against the war by throwing their medals (or somebody elses medals, no matter) over a fence at the White House.

 

Looky here, if you guys want these guys bad enough, just send a small insertion into Toronto and pluck them out of their beds during the night.
It's not like anyone will stop you.

Oh sure, the people and Canadian govt will protest loudly, but just give em all the big middle finger and tune em out.

On a serious note, I have a story to share...

When I was just a rookie screw working at my first federal penitentiary, one of the jobs I was posted to was mobile patrol.

2 pick up trucks would circle the prison perimeter, and they would respond to any fence or motion alarms.
The mobile officers were armed with 38's as a back up pistol, AR-15 rifles, and 12 gage shot guns.

My 2nd day on the job, they sent me out to one of the mobiles to learn the ropes and get my training in.
The guy who was training me gave me a brief description of the duties, and then told me he kept all his rounds in the glove box, instead of keep his weapons loaded.

When I asked him why he kept all the ammunition in the glovebox, he replied "cuz this way I can't shoot anyone by mistake"

So naturally I'm scratching my head, and I'm asking him "WTF?"
He says "lookit here sonny, I'm a religious man, and it's not my job to take a life"

Hello, I was just introduced to Bible Bill, and was taught his "philosophy" on my 2nd day of the job.

Truth of the matter is that "Bill" is required by law to use his firearm for 3 reasons 1) to prevent an escape, 2) to prevent death or serious injury, or 3) to suppress a situation that may lead to an event that may cause death or serious injury

Bill made the conscience decision to "not do his job" and instead this ***** decided to put everyone he works with at risk.

Bill and all the Bills of the world really irritate the heck out of me.
They don't mind earning the big bucks, and getting all the gravy when the going is good, but as soon as the chit hits the fan, they suddenly become philosophical.

One question though.... since I'm not familiar with how things work down there.

If a guy joins the army, and then wants to quit, is he allowed to resign with some type of penalty, or is he forced to stay in?

 

These two punks weren't given enough information to decide whether the war is just or not and legal or not. Just because you disagree with national policy doesn't mean you can say the war is unjust or the policy is unjust. They signed a contract and are bound by that contract. Having taken that oath a few times I do not remember anywhere in it stating I will uphold international law. It says the Constitution of the United States and the laws of the United States. The only time it can be implied that the soldiers are even remotely in contact with international law is in the case of a treaty, BUT that treaty has been approved by the Congress essentially making it U.S. law.

 

Yes I was a “bit” irritated at the fact there was a few cowards making national news and then treated like heroes for having NO *****…

The military is a huge team and needs its team players at key times such as war. It would be like having the Super Bowl and one of the teams Quarterbacks decide they don’t want to play the game. Not that these punk wuss bags come close to a Quarterback but that’s to make a point.

As Raoul pointed out this is nothing like Vietnam because these morons actually enlisted voluntarily and then when they were actually asked to do the job they signed up for they refused and wussed out.

There is absolutely nothing illegal about the orders they were given to go and fight in Iraq. It was a lawful order given to them by their Commander In Chief and they HAVE to follow it with NO questions.

It depends at what stage in the military your in if you can “quit” or not. Usually in boot camp is where they weed the boys from Men and the girls from Women. Usually if your in boot camp and ask to quit you have a decent chance of getting out before America spends thousands of dollars on training for you.

However, after boot camp you are in for the time you signed up for. There is no quitting or giving notice otherwise you would have many, especially those in the Guards that would quit or give notice when things got bad and of course when things were better would want their job back.

If I am correct the penalty for deserting during wartime is death and it is something the government should think about when they catch these cowards. Here is the thing when you join the military you are obligated to serve your time and to carry out EVERY order given to you WITHOUT question. The military is NOT a union and it is NOT democratic it is a dictatorship because it has to be.

There is only so much money for training and equipment and when one of these wuss bags takes up a spot and waste money it is hard to replace that spot and money in the middle of a war. If everyone were afforded an opportunity to just leave because they didn’t like it then it would be a matter of years before America was no more.

It is NOT fair or just to the vast majority 99.99% of those serving proudly and with honor to let these few scumbags go with a slap on the hand. They need to be seriously punished for their actions. I don’t know if death is the answer but I could sure go for life in prison with the possibility of parole at the age of 80…

That would serve notice and be an example for future enlistees that once you join you are in until your time is up PERIOD! It is not a game and your not working for McDonalds…

 

public firing squad. not kidding. i think this country needs a stiff reminder that we are a free people because of those willing to die for our freedoms.

at the very least, i think they should be made to return any and all monies paid to them as salary, repay the gov't for all training and accept a dishonorable discharge and finally have all voting rights revoked. we sure don't want cowards being able to vote on things that could affect the rest of us.
then again i think this is fair for the witmar girls if they refuse to return to iraq as well.

 

Witmar girls aside, I'm for revoking their citizenship completely. Taking away their voting rights is a good idea though. I think they should also be required to finish the remainder of their service in some public service capacity.
