How can Houston be dangerous to drive in?
When I was there a few weeks ago, I sat in bumper to bumper traffic round the Beltway and the Katy Freeway every day. Average speed probably about 5 mph.
I have always found Orlando the craziest. All those crazy Brits on vacation forgetting which side of the road to drive on.

the bumper to bumper traffic isnt the bad part. its when theres not a bunch of traffic thats when it is dangerous. drive down the highway at 75-80 mph, your still the slowest person on the road. drive down a normal street where the speed limit is 35 mph. go 45 and your the slowest person on the road. half of the people are busy on their cell phones. a lot of the cars have TVs that the driver is watching. then youll see how dangerous it is.
also, what caused all that bumper to bumper traffic, a major accident. every day someone is in a hurry to get home and they end up never making it home. last year i think they said there were 600+ fatal accidents in the houston area. many of them multiple deaths. there were around 250 nonfatal major accidents. beat every other city in deadly accidents by 2X. that means the most fatal accidents any other city had was about 300. if you get in a major accident here, your most likely gonna die. i also love how they ALWAYS say on the news "Speed may have been a factor, invesigations are underway to determine if speed played a role in this accident" when the car is in 8 pieces and the body is 100ft away from the car with few parts of the body remaining.
