Take her fishing, or go to the drag strip and watch the races, or go hiking, picnic sounds good, take her shopping...women love that. Take her out to eat at a real expensive restaraunt, go to a theme park, go somewhere on a trip. That's about all I can think of. Oh, and buy her some roses.

Oh, so you got that country / city thing goin on. If you really don't like the city life, then do what you'd do in the country for these reasons:
It's WHO you are!
It's what you like.
It's different, and she may just like that. but it'll also "seperate the men from the boys" In other words, if she doesn't like it, then you don't need to waste your time because . .
You will want to move back to the country one day, and she better know this now.

and that's a big reason I'm not dating anyone right now. I am surounded by city people, and I do not intend to stay here much longer.

Oh and btw, most grocery stores carry bouquets of flowers for le$$, and the cashiers don't try to talk you out of buying them!

Definetly not grociery flowers. Better yet, pick them yourself if possible.
All the outdoor stuff sounds like good advise since that sounds like the kind of guy you are.
Best thing is to make a day of it with several things planned.
That shows you have many interest and dont like just sittin around and drinkin. That might be good for a midweek date, but make the weekends count. Long drives too, not to long though, with no destination in mind, just tell her to keep picking the next back road to take and see where you end up. Take the picnic stuff on this trip, when you see a great spot say lets stop and rest and pull that out.
Now have to make sure the wife doesnt see this because she will wonder why we dont do that anymore.

Obviously - everyne here agrees, flowers are always a good idea. And from what I'm told, even better when given for no particular reason.

For date ideas, do what you want to do. If you enjoy the date, 9 times outa 10 she will too. A few ideas:

Miniture golf / driving range
Go karts and ice cream (may be a little cool for that yet)
A day hike / picnic
Pool (billiards)
Go to a live show (if Blue Man Group is anywhere near you - GO!)
Go to a club (dancing, drinking, etc...)
Go ice skating
Go to a museum
Go out to eat at a restraunt and have food that you normally wouldn't eat
Go to a wine tasting
Take a midnight ride to the nearest beach on a full moon

Thats all I hve right now...

Personally I think giving flowers is stupid, I see no point in killing off part of mother nature so you can give it to someone so that they can watch it die in a few days.

But it works, therefore I participate.

As for dates there are plenty of fun things to do, it's only limited by your wallet and imagination.

1 word of caution though, unless you are serious about the girl, DO NOT BRING HER INTO YOUR HOBBIES.

take her shopping...women love that.
Oh dear God, no, please no. Do women really like to do that for a date? I rather be castrated by Janet Reno's teeth than go shopping. I've done that before (not as a date, but with an ex-girlfriend) because she wanted to, horrible experience!

I wish we could find a full day to do something, but with our schedules, we are limited to doing something usually after 7:00 for two days out of the week, other than that, after 10:30

She's a really nice girl, I just don't want to get boring for her. Now that the weather is warming up, I do have some more options (although it'll probably rain for the next 30 days straight!)

Oh, and buy her some roses
Hmmm, roses... I always thought those were "more serious" flowers reserved for apologies and special occasions. I love them, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't want to kill or should I say desensitize roses by using them to much.

Haha, you sound like me on the shopping with women! I hate it, but somebody's got to do it.
Yes, women like to shop whether it's on a date or not.

I do, just not the time to anymore.

Take her shopping at Victoria's Secret
That is to cheesy, says thats why I stare at your breast.

That had to be one bad experience.

Get her nipples pierced
I always thought that was more of a 4th or 5th date activity.

Do the long drive deal, get to be with the 2 things you like, your truck and her. (in that order)
She will feel you are letting her have some input and you will do a womens other favorite activity, talk.

Sled...

Let's say, for example that this is the case...what makes you think she won't be offended later on down the road? In other words, do those things you like...this is how you find out if she likes them too and if you two are compatable.

OMG If I could only find a girl who likes to bowl, I could die happy.

Anyway, try an art museum, they are usually cheap. Or a local zoo. Take her to a park. Does she like sports? Take her to a baseball game. If she likes animals find a dog show, maybe she likes cars, take her to a car show. Take her to a play, your city/town has to have a local theater group. Check your local newspaper, they always have good ideas.
