for Kentucky, this link shows states that allow CCDW from one state to another (scroll down towards the bottom). It is not quite up to date since Ohio is allowing CCDW:

Sounds like Michigan is like Texas too. Range, class time, lot less fees though. The NRA site has a list of states that permit, let you cross over and their requirements. Just to lazy to put up the address.

To buy a handgun here takes a purchase permit, which is good for transport only and takes about 10 min at the local sheriff office.

Sled...

In Indiana, you have to go to your local law enforcement office (i.e. - police station if you live within city limits, sheriff's office if you're outside of city limits)
fill out an application, check the box for self defense carry, have your finger prints taken, pay a fee, and have the state police do a criminal record search on you.
wait a day or 2 to get the criminal record report back, fill out anther from, get it notorized, and send the completed form to the state police.
Within 2-8 weeks, you'll get your little pink card in the mail, with some info about laws - basically don't carry in airports and schools.

If you want more info about the reciprocy between states, and carry laws in different states, go here:
