Allah or Jesus?

Got this in an e-mail...

Allah or Jesus?
by Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam
gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Nonbelievers!" I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this
straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes." I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have problem with being your friend when you and your
brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung
his head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic
Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will
be widely publicized. Please pass this on to all your email contacts.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry.

Here's an interesting read that shows a bit of the history of Islam. Their dealings with the non-Arabic/non-Christian peoples that came under their influence since the invention of Islam is revealed to some degree.

When will it end?
Yet another bs email meant to serve as propaganda on the stupid masses.

I have numerous texts and software which shows the teachings of Islam, and answers almost any question you can think of, and I can say with 100% certainty that the above propaganda by Rick Mathews is utter BS.

I wish Rick Mathews and people like him would get run over by a steam roller because all they do is try to perpetuate hate by taking advantage of the stupid.

Don't believe everything you read.

that e-mail is a crock of crap! Instead of relying on hearsay, perhaps you would be better served doing a little research of your own.

Here is how the Koran opens.

Al-Fatihah
In the name of God
The Compassionate
The Merciful 1:1

Praise be to God, Lord of Worlds, 1:2
The Beneficent, the Merciful, 1:3
Sovereign of the Day of Judgment! 1:4
You alone we worship, and to You alone
We turn for help. 1:5
Guide us to the straight path, 1:6
The path of those whom You have favored,
Not of those who have incurred Your wrath,
Nor of those who have gone astray. 1:7

here is a link for anyone interested in fact. It provides a brief history of Islam and it's various branches.

Prove it by showing your info.

As for me, I believe the Bible and not some atheistic thoughts or other cult claims.

Judaism, Christianity, Islam. One god, three cults.

Arbilly: Please get educated before revealing how wrong you are. Christianity is the only belief, not "religion", that teaches peace. Do some research, some real research before you start knocking any faith. You do all 3 a dis-service by saying they are the same God.

P.S: Believe in spongebob all you want. Just don't try to force your Spongebob religion down my throat.

I have not had the luxury to speak or deal with any Muslim clerics, however I have had numerous friends who were Muslim. The basic theory I was able to gleen from them is Islam and Christianity are essentially the same religion. They do have differing beliefs, but for the most part each story in the bible can be found in the koran. As one of my Muslim friends put it, "They are the same religon just differnt names."

The "article" by Rick Mathes has about as much truth to it as does the Nigerian bank account scam.

I will go out on a limb here and give a personal opinion that Rick Mathes doesn't exist, and instead this note was written by some hate mongering jerk who has nothing better to do than try to take advantage of the gullible masses because the average "Joe" out there is an idiot, and for the most part people are stupid.

That's a statement that I'm sticking by.

Here is the crux of where "Rick's" letter is false:

All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

Smithy, you ask me to prove that what I said is true, correct?
The only way for me to do that would be to post the entire Holy Quran into this thread, and then you would have to read it all for your self.

Your asking me to prove those assertions are not printed in the Qur'aan, and there is no reasonable way to do so.

You see Smithy, it is much easier for someone to ask "Rick" to prove what he wrote is true.
If honest Rick is enlightening us, and giving us a heads about about how the evil Muslims conduct their faith, then why wouldn't "Rick" post the page number and the paragraph of the statements for the rest of us to confirm what he alleges?

If the Qur'aan does indeed have a line in there, telling all Muslims to "kill" the infidels, then surely this earth shattering news would've been released a long time ago.

It's much easier to prove a positive than a negative.

As for your statement of you believing in the bible, well good for you, whatever floats your boat, but this isn't the issue here, the issue is the post is BS, written for no other reason than to perpetuate hate.

The only reason I mentioned that I'm an atheist is to show that I wasn't showing any favoritism, and not trying to say my belief is better than yours.

I don't give a rats *** whether someone believes in a 3 headed elephant, the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, or whoever, it has no consequence on me or my family whatsoever.

People can believe anything they want, but I won't sit here and let some hateful lies go unchallenged because all we need is to let some "uninformed" person read it, and then all of a sudden the world has an extra idiot we didn't have yesterday.

Here is another part of "Rick's" letter that is amusing:

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will
be widely publicized. Please pass this on to all your email contacts.

Yes Rick, you're the genius who is letting the secret out, before you wrote your stupid letter, the entire world was in the dark, thanks for saving us!

Do you people really think if this was the case, we wouldn't know about it?
Use your heads.

I like this closer too:

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry.

Yes, of course it's true, lol.
Anytime some imbecile writes some piece of bullchit, they always end it with "this is a true story"

So for all you guys who believe "Rick", go ahead and be sheep, pass it to every contact on your email list, and help make the world a stupider place filled with even more stupid people.

People need to think for themselves and not believe everything some *** clown writes.

What the Koran says comes down to interpretation. Look at how the Constitution of the United States is being interpreted. Politicians, judges, and special interest groups try to invent intention when the words are not there for them to twist. In the Koran, the words are there and the intention is suspect. It is a hardline religion. A throw back from it's inception to a less forgiving view of God.

Here are some excerpts from which "Kill the infidels" could be interpreted if one was so inclined to do so.

"Whatever may have transpired at the prison training session referred to above, the notion expressed by this piece is inaccurate. Islam is not a monolithic religion in which unanimity of belief and action is coordinated from a central authority. Islam has an estimated two billion adherents in countries all over the world who belong to any one of a number of different sects with varying beliefs, traditions, and interpretations of scripture. (As well, some religious groups identify themselves as Islamic but are not recognized as such by the vast majority of Muslims.) No one Muslim (especially one who wasn't even a cleric) could speak to what all of Islam believes, any more than a single member of a Methodist congregation could speak for every denomination and follower of Christianity. Many, many Muslims reject the idea that "all followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of their faith," or even the suggestion that such an interpretation has ever been a valid tenet of Islam. We sent this piece to several Muslim groups and invited them to offer comments; they provided somewhat different explanations about the concept of jihad, how Muslims regard non-Muslims, and other related topics, but they all agreed that the editorial presented a grossly distorted version of their beliefs.
