Insurance rates, What do ya pay?

I live here in Mi and they are jumpin the damn rates again, another 30 a vehicle. State catastrophic fund is going in the hole.

Now I will end up paying $2000 a year for full coverage on my 99 f150 flare 2x4 and the little womens 98 Exploder. This includes all safety discounts, good driving, multi car home owner discount
with a $1000 deductable on each vehicle and no life insurance added. Mi is the only state that pays accident victoms medical for a life time with no cap.

Was just wondering what others pay on insurance??

Sled...

Our insurance just dropped thanks to Allstates 20% decrease for good drivers. Knocked almost $800 off our 6 month total (thats for the L, Wood, Excursion & trailer).

USAA is the way to go if you are military or related to someone who is...

I'm 26 and pay $600 for six months of full coverage on my '97 F150 4x4. This is a great rate in Phoenix, I'd say 2 out of 5 drivers here don't have insurance (and 98% of those ones don't speak English either). I have my homeowner's with USAA too and they sent me a dividends check for $100 at X-mas time, not much but still a nice bonus

For my '04 F150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4:

$729 Annual policy premium
$100,000/$300,000/$100,000 Liability
$500/$500 deductibles

My wife's 2003 Windstar is $612/year for the same coverage.

MI insurance sucks. Mine has gone up a lot in the last few years I paid a lot less when I was under 25 than I do now at 27.

03 Supervcrew Lariat 4x4 $450/6mo broad form $1000 deductible
04 Stratus cheapie sedan $800/6mo broad form $1000 deductible
85 RX-7 $250/6mo liability

Two drivers both >10 miles each way to work with good records . I pay a $189/6mo surcharge for a claim I made a year ago - $2800 pothole damage. And, I have the homeowners multi-policy and employer group disocounts as well as seat belt, ABS, and all the other tricks. Like I said, MI insurance sucks.

APT who is your insurance through? We're about the same age & almost the same area (I'm just ALOT closer to Detroit) & mine has done nothing but go down. We also have the discounts for all the fun stuff as well as for having our homeowners through them.

My truck costs me $442.72 a month, full coverage. This is through Progressive, being 22 and having two accidents is killing me. Luckily, both of them clear my record this year.

Absolutely USAA. Our total 6 month premium is $1102.31 but that includes 4 vehicles (one with full coverage and one driven by an 18 year old) and 3 drivers. $100,000/$300,000 liability and $250 deductables.

Breakdown:
2000 F150, full coverage, $308.69
1993 Ford Ranger Splash, liability only, $525.34 (18 year olds truck)
1985 Ford Ranger, liability only, $134.14
1968 Ford Bronco, liability only, $134.14

This is half of what Allstate wanted for the same coverage.

Apt I agree, Mi insurance does suck. I am 40, no tickets and all the safety stuff like I said, and still 1000 every 6 months on 2 vehicles, rate is pretty much even between the 2, and this is the cheepest I could find.

APT who is your insurance through? We're about the same age & almost the same area (I'm just ALOT closer to Detroit) & mine has done nothing but go down.
rdy2rac. I am currently through auto owners now. Detroit has been going down because they have been overcharging that area for a while. Now they are raising rates on every one out side of Detoit to compensate.

Anyhow, here in Mi you will see yours increase $27/ vehicle on July 1st..

I pay $481 every 6 mo for my 04 F-150 including all the possible discounts. good driver, Lo Jack, Scientist group diiscount, renewal discount.

i am shopping around soon. price is a big concern. i am currently with Mercury Insurance. I'd like to move to a more reputable company, but all the big names want at least $1000 more every 6 mo and I refuse to pay triple the price.
