Please ford. Bring this to the U.S.

yall may not like the ranchero style pickup, but if you dont like the falcon sedan/coupe, youre crazy. They would put a nice dent in the maxima/altima/camry market if they brought that bad boy over.
Another vote for ugly! I liked the Ranchero, in fact we had a '74 Ranchero for many years. That can't even compare. It looks way more like a truck wanna-be than the Ranchero ever did. Yuck.

You can also find information on the the Pursuit, Super Pursuit and F6 Tornado, 3 versions of the originally posted picture.
So you think we will never get to drive one? Not true:
Ford fans will now have the opportunity to drive the FPV F6 Typhoon, FPV's first turbocharged model with 270kW of power and a groundbreaking 550Nm of torque, in the Gran Turismo computer grame. If that's not enough grunt, the FPV GT, is also be available as well as the Ford Falcon AU FTR V8 Supercar that was featured in the previous GT3 A-Spec game.

Nope- that's not what I was saying..

What I said was the Escorts from that ERA would be considered sports cars in the US because they were as fast as the Mustang GT. Maybe not as quick, but every bit as fast....
I said we in America keep getting the watered down version of the cars sold elsewhere...
I looked at the Holden website- There's a reason Ford builds that truck/car thingy over there. It's to go head to head with the GM version... Which does seem a bit more aggressive than it's Ford Rival.
Different market, different ideals. I bet some people in teh states would buy that "caruck" if Ford sold it here.. But, you probably don't see many pick-ups in Germany and Italy....
Trucks are big in teh US, but most other countries love cars more than truck.. In the case of the star on this thread; this is for people that love cars, but occasionally needs the utility of a truck.
I'll tell you, if I could afford a 3rd car note, I'd get that little Baja and drive it to work every day. Cute? No. But, it's 4WD, and it's a mini-truck with 4-doors and some room.
I'd slap on some 20's, and limo tint and drive the heck out of it.

I edited the post in question so it would not appear as if I were saying the car pictured, was a Ford Escort...
That's not what I was trying to convey with that photo...
-----------------------
What I was trying to say was that Ford builds nothing as awesome-looking as that car for sale in the US; aside from the Mustang GT, which they're trickling into the market.
