Please tell me I'm not the only one old enough to remember this:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Ford had the Falcon...

It was a pretty popular car...and so, because the boys in Detroit like to expand on bland ideas, they came up with this...

The Ford Falcon Pickup

It was the precursor to the Ranchero.

It's just another poor attempt at Retro...

The Facon, and the Falcon Pickup wasn't all that hot then, and it isn't all that hot now.

this isn't a new vehicle. Ford Australia has been making this type of vehicle for years.

The Austrailans probably laugh at us because we have no sporty V8 rear drive sedans.

Could this be considered a pickup? I say yes, it can tow and haul right?. If it is, wouldn't it be faster than both the Lightning and Ram SRT-10? Making it the worlds fastest production pickup.

I think it was one of these I saw on my way to work today. Very Sharp! Blue Falcon FPV GT-P with right-side steering wheel and mfg plate.

What makes it You-gly is that vinyl tonneau cover.

No cover, or painted to match hard tonneau.

Come on Ford; get with the program..

As usual, Ford AND GM put the hotter cars in foreign markets...

That Holden Monaro would be a super-star for GM in the US. THe grill, they styling, the- everything.. But, Nooooooo..

We continue to get served the decafinated versions...

When I was in Germany, the Ford Escort they sold there, would blow the doors off the American Mustang in a top-speed blast up Autobahn 3.

The sysling, design, power and execution of the European Escort was way better than the watered down Escort they sold here. (Late 80's early 90's escorts...)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know what this is, but if they'd take the wing off this, and replace it with a civilized wing, and that would be a sure-fire Maxima, Accord, Altima, Camry contender; if sold in the US.
