Feedback on the Freestar

Anyone bought or ridden in the new freestar? We may be getting another vehicle (Keeping the Super Crew) and are interested in what people have to say about the Freestar. Will be trading an 02 Honda Odyssey. Are there any good Forums like this for the Freestar?

Well, assuming things are worked out regarding my post in GD, my GF's parents will probably buy a Freestar. So, I too would like to hear any and all pros and cons... They will buy from my buddy who doesn't have access to Mazda, so even though they are related the Freestar is what they will probably get...

First of all I don't know how they can call the Freestar "all new". I owned a 99 Windstar and view out the mirrors is the same, some interior trim pieces the same and it even sounds like a Windstar. I used a new Freestar as loaner vehicle while my truck was at the dealer and let me tell you I was disappointed with the Fstar. The engine made unhappy mechanical noises on cold start, the seat hurt my back and the transmition was way to quick to shift out of first. Previous poster said her husband worked at a transmition place- all I can say is my 99 had three transmitions in it-under warranty- before I traded it.

In case you haven't read my other post... there will be no Quest purchased! Nothing against Nissan or the Quest, but just the way it's going to be...
