Gas Prices..

If you havnt got gas yet you'd better get it now...I just saw the price go from 1.65 to 1.71 for mid grade in Dallas today...I'm guessing it's because of the bombings in Iraq..or the pipe lines being serviced...or the refineries down for Maintenance....or some Oil executive needs a Cartier diamond for his Wife or girlfriend

its the last one you mentioned..... did you know that in the US alone there is enough oil to last over 150 years, if its used at the current rate.

I have heard little from our politicans about the gas prices and how to stablize them. I will base my vote along with some other issues for whomever has the best answer to this very disturbing situation. Can you say hybrid car. I can and i am now looking for one asap.

Ha!....

Overnight last night here in Calgary, Alberta, prices magically jumped the equivalent of 40 cents/gallon.

Bend over, grab your ankles and grin....

Typical how prices don't drop that much in one day...

Tex...

Maybe we do ( and I worked for Halliburton in the 80's and those areestimated reserves) but I see no sense in burning ours up first.

So your prices only jump by 6 cents overnight?!? You're lucky... around here, they'll start around 1.70and SLOWLY creep downwards to around the 1.59 mark.... overnight, they'll jump to 1.85... 1.90 even. VERY VERY VERY rare do we have a nickel jump... it's always along the magnitude of 20 - 30 cents. It's really silly.

In Oklahoma Its still 1.53 for 87; 1.73 for 91 and 1.79 for 94. So its not that bad, but I'm sure this summer might get worse. I hop Deisel doesn't get that high. When the MH averages around 9-10mph and you have a 120 gallon tank, it takes some $$$ at the stations.

Here in Lubbock,Tx its aroung $1.52. We can complain, but until we start using our own oil or another source of energy, wehave no control over the price.
