I dont even know where there is a Quizno`s in my area but you got to admit the add put Quizno`s in your head,thats the whole Idea of advertizing.

 

Those singing hamsters are so lame. That commercial is almost as bad as the Ovalteen radio commercial- "Ovalteen hot, kids like it a lot, rich chocolate Ovalteen; it hits the spot, creamy and delicious, and may I say nutritious, it tastes just like dessert."

Nothing like shying away customers.

116% of the audience? How is that possible? As I work in this field let me tell you what they meant to say... 116 is the index of 14-24's eating Quiznos vs the population meaning they are 16% more likely to eat vs the population.

2 things... I never action against an index that low unless the absolute number of people in the target group is large enough to warrant it

Secondly, this demographic is really small. So small its not worth targeting. Chocolate bars yes (index of 200 to 300, see above point), quick serve restaurants no.


Let me just say that creative guys and guys that critique creative are so full of ***** its unbelievable. The actions that move the needle are almost always rooted in demography, not creating/critiquing the use of dead vermin. Look at Dodge... cutting edge brand-sell advertising, still faltering, still getting their asses kicked by Toyota.

 

I thought Subway was decent, I liked the bread and the fact they have more then one kind, but they were stingy on the fillings as well.

Jersey Mike's is cool, but Tastee Sub's is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone in Central NJ can verify that one.

I'm sorry to those of you you who can't experience Tastee.

 

Subway rules!! I love their food selections, too bad theyre too expensive. Its $7.00+ now for a footlong meal deal

Id rather pay Subways high prices then go to Quiznos. Their food sucks as bad as their commercial.

 

I agree with that! Tastee subs is awesome!

Jersey Mike's is good but Tastee kicks arsh. Another good place that gives Tastee a run for the money is Sub World in Bayville, NJ. In fact it may be better than Tastee.

 

Regarding the road kill commercials for Quizons...

Quite possibly the worst commercials ever made in the entire history of television advertising.....

I actually like Quiznos. The power of toast is pretty good. The bad thing about them is that they are seriously expensive for what you get (which isn't much). THe other thing I notice about Quiznos is that, like Chinese food, you are hungry again about half an hour after eating there.

That said...I am tempted to never eat there again just because of how STUPID the commercials are. I am thinking about writing them and letting them know that I am so put off by their new TV ads that I refuse to eat there any longer....at least until they change their ads and fire the agency that sold them on this stupid idea in the first place.

 

Is that the one on Rt9 right next the place the steak place that occasionally has the mud truck competions?

 

There was a steak place there for a few months, now I believe it is Frankies pizza. Frankies is good too, they deliver right to my boat! Subworld is across the street from a hardware store.


I forgot, those Quiznos vermin are disturbing.

I used to own a deli and know a good sub. Quizno's is a good model with the toasting thing but they are very expensive and use a very low quality meat.

Subway started out the opposite way, cheap with very very low quality and quantity meat and high quality bread and extras. (they hide behind tons-o-lettuce and other veggies)

Now subway is inching their prices up and they have adjusted some of the meat quality and quantity. Still they hide behind piles of cheap-to them-veggies.

Back on toipc, the Quizno's adds are the worst thing I have ever seen. Who the F came up with this idea?!?!?! Here's the Pitch..."you see mr quizno's we think we can sell more subs for you with a barely understandable song and two dead rats with bad people teeth" Now mr quizno's is thinking..."Hmm...dead rats and food...Hmmm...they seem to go tegether...Hmmm...it sounds great!! where do i sign to get this great ad campaign started?" Then after mr quizno's signed the check he woke up and realized what he had done but alas it was too late! Freaking Moron!!

 

You guys are a bit harsh on the critiques, no? I think those ads are freakin' great. They crack me up every time I see them.

Also, who said that they were "roadkill"? Sounds to me like someone came up with this ide and everyone else kinda ran with it. To me they look like some sort of mishappen rodents, but certainly not roadkill.

In any case, I love Quiznos subs. They're great and if I was rich and didn't care about being un-fat I would eat them every day. Even a commercial with singing rodents can't keep me away.
