Have you guys(and girls) heard about the lawsuit that's going on in Kansas City? These 2 African-American women were on a Southwest Airlines flight, looking for their seats, when the stewardess said on the P.A...."eeny, meeny, miney, mo, grab a seat, we gotta go!" Well... those 2 women were offended because it made them think of the version that has the "N" word in it instead of "tiger". For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, it goes like this..."eeny, meeny, miney, mo, catch a tiger by the toe, if he hollers, let him go!"
It upset one of the women so badly, she had a seizure on the plane! Anyway, they are suing Southwest Airlines! Talk about making something out of NOTHING!!!
There is nothing wrong with what the stewardess said, and if I were in charge of Southwest, they wouldn't get a dime!

 

Southwest has the cheapest fares.
One of the by-products of having the cheapest fares is their policy of 'Open Seating.

In open seating you do not get a seat assignment so, the ladies could not have been looking for 'their' seat, they were looking for "A" seat.

The stewardess witnesses this, flight after fllight after flight and probably uses this little ditty at every boarding.

Stewardesses on Southwest do not assist with seating as is done on other airlines, it is dog eat dog.

I am a frequent traveler and it was culture shock the first time I boarded Southwest.

I remember I was somewhat in a panic and if the stewardess had used the PA on me I probably would have gotten the vapors too.

so I pick one and tie a rope on him and I put on some sunglasses and I pretend he is my seeing eye dog.

When they try to stop me at the gate I explain that it is my seeing eye dog.
And they say, "That GOAT is your seeing eye dog?"

And I say, "What? They gave me a GOAT?".

Some people will find anything that they can to make a few bucks off of. I think they need to cut this crap out. It is ruining our society. But of course, the stewardess could have chosen a better phrase than that.

I always thought "eeny, meeny, miney, mo ....." was just a silly kids rhyme. Glad I have co-workers much older the me.


Some people just need to be a little more thick skinned, or at least don't take stuff out of context as everyone is out to get them.

That's pathetic. (Not the goat, the goat owns, I meant the lawsuit is pathetic).

 

What's pathetic, is that they will likely win a settlement of some sort for this. As long as we bend over for this sort of thing in this country, we'll continue to see it. Real racism still exists in this country, and throughout the world. As long as trivial matters such as this continue to be blown out of proportion, real problems will continue to be trivialized as well. It's hard to find sympathy for racial issues, when the majority of complaints come from people who are either overly sensitive, or looking to use race to their advantage. It's a frustrating problem.

 

 

Just another sad example of how some try to use their race to make money off of other people. The two women deserve to be smacked up side the head and then told to SHUT THE HELL UP…

There was a story on the news the other night about a steak and cheese business, I believe in New Jersey, and the name of it is ******. Well the name was the original owners “nickname” and the business has had that name for many years, I believe over 60 years, not positive.

Well low and behold some women from Korea who recently moved to America is offended by the name “******” and is now getting the rest of the Asian community to gather and force this guy to change the name of his business.

Personally if that woman recently from Korea is offended then she should board her *** onto the next flight home and get the hell out of our country. I am sure her home land is much better and that is why she left.

Hell, perhaps I should file a lawsuit myself and make some damn money off my race. I am beginning to feel a bit offended every time I walk down the cookie and snack isle of the grocery store where they have many boxes with a derogatory race statement of “Crackers”…

I bet some people are offended by the use of the word “cookie”

 

Personally, I haven't been able to stomach "white bread" for years; and, every time a horn blows, I feel like I'm being called a "honky."

there is a Honkey Tonk bar here in town and every Friday night there is a Honkey Tonk ad on the radio, Who will join me to fight this Honkey in a lawsuit. I mean get real if you sued evertyime you were offended the courts would never get any justice done, as if they do now.

Wait a min. some kid called me a geek back in second grade, maybe I can sue over that its only been 25 years ago.

 

Then she is an idiot with an ambulance chasing lawyer. "*****" is a derogatory term for one of Chinese decent, not Korean. So if she is offended, she should be offended for Chinese and Chinese-Americans not for herself.
