As i was saying yesterday, both is a bad idea. It is along the line of you can get in a little trouble by yourself, and you can get in a lot of trouble if you have a partner in crime. Labs take a lot of attention can be easily trained - when distractions are removed. Trying to train 2 lab pups would be a lost cause.

Possible names:
Obsidian (call her Sid, or Ann)
Gneiss
Schist
I'll think of more later...

How about Hutton? (after James Hutton) You could call her Hut...

i have put a reasonable amount of thought into naming the dog.

the dogs name should be unique, and easy to yell.

the dogs name should be,

BOAT.

Let's try real hard not to represent such a defeatist attitude. I have two labs, two months apart in age. Both were trained (by me) to verbal and hand signals (no, not those kinda hand signals). Neither were very hard to train and trust me, neither falls into the category of a lost cause. With a little attention and focus, two can be trained just as easily as one. A simple philosophy I subscribe to: When properly trained, both children and dogs are a joy to have around.

Opal
Leucit (Lucy)
Mica
Phologopite (Flo)
Riebeckite (Becky)
Gabbro (Gabby)
Amphibole (Amy)

I think I mentioned before, this thread is getting a certain mower-esque quality to it!!!!!

Let's list a few interesting points:

1. Wear porkchop!
2. Get both dogs.
3. Don't get both dogs.
4. Name one Honda and other Toro.
5. Wouldn't you love to know what 36Fan's children are named?
6. Don't give them a "rocky" start.
7. 01's comments remind me to never, ever let my wife find this website.
8. Have we decided on a dog yet?
9. Name one King and the other Ranch.
10. Whata ya mean no space for two dogs, you have a garage.
11. You will have to plant another tree in the front yard, they'll fight over that one monster oak the landscaper planted.
12. Good luck on whatever you decide...

edit: 13. "Oral" LMAO!

serotta... you're not allowed to post here anymore! LOL! Bastid!

She said she knew you were joking Burt but, you're still not allowed to come within 300 yards of her. She wanted me to remind you about some type of 'protective order' or something... not sure what she was talking about. *shrugs*

36fan... it's so nice to have a fellow geologist in the house. Who else here would've come up with something as off the wall as Hutton? LOL!!

Seriously though, you've obviously put some deep thought into it... of course, I'm sure everyone got the 'ever-so-famous' schist joke. LOL!

My wife, however, has come up with a name that I think might stick and it's not geologically related (despite my best efforts to thumb through my dictionary of geological terms (do you have this book 36fan? If not, you need it!))

I think the dog shall be named....

Drum roll please....

LEXI

Although, I'm still pushing for MEG. Seriously, I know it's corny because of the Meguiar's thing but, Meg is actually a pretty good dog name.... well, at least I think so...

Why is it people are always getting protective orders against me?

Did you tie the porkchop around your neck yet?

I never tried it, but sometimes I tie a hundred dollar bill around my neck so the wife will play with me.

You married guys should try it, it really works.

For $100 I could get more than my wife to play with me, just not at the same time.

Just remember that the dog that chews the most may not be the best for the King Ranch leather. I'm sure you understand. They both look like awesome dogs, but just trying to help prevent future problems. Also, Lexi sounds like an awesome name.

Name her after an old girlfriend.
