bad news

i just talked to the tranny guy. i need a total rebuild all the clutches were burnt up it needed all new gears reverse was shot needed a new solenoid (sp?) and a new torque converter so pretty much all that was still good was the eletronics and the housing but since i know the guy real well he is giving me all the parts at cost and giving me a break on the labor so it will be about $1500 compared to $2400 that the other shop could do it for

Sounds like you got a really good deal

But it sucks when you have to get major work like that done on your truck.

How many miles do you have on your truck?
