Kapish?
When I send a letter from Canada to America, I use a Canadian stamp, see, that's the way it works.
JUst cuz I'm a pal, I'll take them off your hands for 10 cents on the dollar (you pay postage)

You are saying that to send mail from America, to Canada, I'd have to use American stamps. American stamps are 37 cents now I believe, how would that work out? A stamp and a half?

Weird... instead of buying stamps at the counter before, I could just pay the 60 cents (they stuck a label on the envelope). So instead of doing that I asked for stamps that could be used to mail to Canada, and the lady gave me a pack to buy. They say 'USA' on them along with '60' next to the image of an airplane.

Yup,
I was under the impression you had "Canadian" stamps, but if they say US on them, then they are American.
I just went to the US post website, and it says the cost to mail a regular letter to Canada is 60 cents.

Oh I gotcha! LOL Thanks
So I have American-Canadian stamps, is that what they are? Airmail (So THAT'S what the airplane is for) is still 60 cents? It hasn't gone up?
If my stamps are fine, and I attach one 60 cent A-C stamp to an envelope, and drop it in the 'Out of Town' slot, it will be delivered fine and dandy?

According to the US post website, it costs 60 cents to mail a regular letter to Canada, so you will be fine.
As long as you don't exceed the weight limitation.
If you want to be double sure, take the letter to your local post office, and they will confirm with you (they have scales, so they will weight it)
Now that its cleared up...
I sent a letter from Virginia to Iraq. I'm not sure how much it cost because I didn't understand the currency symbols on the stamps.
All I know is it cost three Hussains and one that had the Minister of Information on it.
Each country has it's own value for stamps.
One time I sent a postcard to Italy. The whole card was covered with so many stamps it weighed about four pounds.

The US Postal Service doesnt take kindly to "mail fraud"
I would guess two black Suburbans will pull into your dirveway, and you will be forced to cough up the 23 cents you jipped them out of.
