I must be old....What the hell does "owned" mean? The above certainly doesn't tell me anything.

How about this word...

"Screwed"

The putz who put a spray paint can in his Benz, in the heat, to watch it explode, got screwed. Granted, he did it to himself, but it's screwed none-the-less.

Other words that come to mind...

OUCH
Yikes
Bummer
Bad news (ok, two words)
Sucks
Jumpin' Jehosaphat! (An interesting exclaimation...I have no idea what it really means but always thought it sounded great)

Oh, the list is endless....

But "owned" ? I don't get that one.

"OWN3D" is the new version of "You got ********D"

Paint went everywhere in his Benz, he got "own3d"

Get it now?

Got it.

Even though in my mid 40's I have adopted some of today's vernacular, however, this "owned" doesn't seem to work for me.

Thanks for the explaination though.

I think I'll stick with "screwed".

He is Hosed

I don't know.

I think that if the paint splatter had been accomplished by other person then the poor sap would have been owned for sure.

For instents, I this looser had done somthing really bad to me and it made me mad, I would have broken into his car and splattered the paint and in the paint I would have scribbled " I OWNZJU" and therefore he would have been owned.

However he pretty much "Hosed" himself. So in this particular case I think Hosed, Hozed, or Hozzd, would be more appropriate.

As this example explains;

"This guy is HOSED. He totally HOZED his own car. If the paint does not come up well then he is completly HOZZD!

But his wife (or signifgant other, life partner maybe), just may end up OWNING him.

I take issue with 'owned' also.

If the episode made him 'owned' and he did it himself, to himself, he must 'own' himself because no one else was involved, before, during or after.

If one 'owns' himself he is in fact 'Free'.

The correct thread title should be:
'Free is a major understatement! Check this out! This guy is so Free'".

Who among us has not dropped a water hose while washing the truck and been unexpectedly sprayed? It has happened to me many times and I never felt owned. In fact, if the dousng is long enough, I have time to run around shouting, "I'm free, I'm free" with glee.

true dat

I know I've had that happen a few times (minus the running around shouting "Im free, Im free!").

The last time I ran around shouting "I'm free, I'm free." and there was a hose involved, I got time.
