It's an old system, it's from back in the 70's. Just as old as the Trans Am, it's original, and it's working perfectly fine... That was back when things were made with quality....

Actually, 5 of the speakers are new, the two huge ones are not new, but the huge ones put out just as good sound. (And better bass, because of the huge woofers in them. The reason they're so big is because of the size of the woofers.)

And no I don't like Rap, I love Country

Mine..... Picture #1 shows the components that are sitting within a built-in wall cabinet. Shown are a Technics equalizer and tape deck, DENON AVR-3802 home theater amp, Hitachi VCR, Pioneer DV-37 DVD player, Philips DSR6000R DirecTV receiver with built-in TiVo recording system, and a Pioneer six disc CD changer.

Picture #2 shows a full view of the entire entertainment system except for the rear speakers. Technics tower front speakers, Klipsch KSW 10 powered subwoofer, the component cabinet, and my Fujitsu 42 inch flat panel plasma TV are shown.

The final picture shows how thin the flat panel plasma TV is compared to the speakers.

Here are links to the pictures....

Very nice system, Silvrdrgn! What's with the sub, though? You probably have larger drivers in your mains.

I've been trying to post a pic of my system but no luck yet...........
BTW: We always have our system LOUD... somewhere between 10 and 20db below reference level. My sub literally shakes things throughout the whole house.............

I used to build and install home theater systems for the rich and famous. Our lowest price theater we did was at a brain surgeon's home and he dropped down 50K cash just to get us started. His total system after it was completed was in the high 90K range.

Anyway, if you want awesome sub performance build you a transmission line enclosure. It will take up quite a bit of room but it will perform like nothing you have ever heard. They are sometimes referred to as a folded horn in some circles or a 1/4 wavelength box. You can find info on the at www.diysubwoofers.org

Thanks! You're correct. My Technics tower speakers, which are now quite old 'cause I bought them when I was in college (I'm 32 now), have 15 inch drivers (plus open port, base reflex in the front). I got the sub anyway 'cause the Denon amp I have has a separate sub output, and the ability to direct LFE (low frequency effects) to both the mains and the sub at the same time. It makes for house-rattling base when watching DVD's!!

i did this about 5 years ago. had to get "old school" to have that flush in the wall look. had the builder leave the empty hole. i drew it and had a carpenter build it. the sub is centered under the 40" Mistsubishi tube. the receiver is high so the kids cant mess with it. Denon receiver, bose AM-15 (i know but i like the looks of them and to me they sound good). Sony universal remote (this thing rocks and turn everthing one with 1 button.)
