When do these hit the dealers? What price? I live close to a pontiac dealer I will probably start seeing them out on test drives.

About the $35,000.00 range. It's not a supercharged Cobra; but, it's a whole lot of car nonetheless. I'm not sure when they'll be for sale. I'll probably wait and see what kind of problems they have the first year or so. There shouldn't be many, considering they've been in service in Australia for a while now.

They're already for sale I saw one the other day, at the stop light. He had his windows down, and I yelled over "That a new GTO?" "Sure is" "Can I see what it can do?" Then the light hit green, and he nailed it. Man they sound nice during WOT

I saw one over in Winston Salem, NC three days back, I didn't get a good look at it though, just the front end.

I think the cars are OK, but the thought that this car carries the GTO name is bad, that is not a real GTO :-(

This IS a real GTO (this next picis real, no jack stands)

And I'm also kinda gload they quit the Trans Am line, because the modern Camaros are ugly and the Trans Ams looked just like them, so it's a good thing.

If they brought it back looking like a real muscle car!! That'd rock!

We're talking about the GTO, this is general discussion so it dosen't HAVE to apply to trucks

That's a matter of opinion. I didn't care much for the models between '69 and '93. After '93 I owned 3 of them and am contemplating picking up a used one. A little retro influence from '69 and earlier would be nice if they reintroduce them.

I like the new GTO, also. At least they didn't give it the Malibu and Nova treatment.

In 1969 Chevrolet put the highest reving V-8 in a few of their Camaro's. It was a 302 c.i. high rpm beast. Very limited production as I recall. Not much torque but it came to life between 4-8k. One of my top 5 driving experiences of all time. Thanks for the memories

So pretend it's there now, I don't have time to edit it.
