I think that he more than anyone deserves prison time for his behavior. Not necessarily because he broke the law, but because he clearly needs some lessons in humility.

Rush was so critcal of Clinton not because of his policies but because he was jealous of how women adored him and how successful and happy Americans could be under a democratic president

I have some first hand knowledge about addiction. A drug addict or alcoholic doesn't seek treatment because they don't realize there is a problem until something major happens. Sometimes it's an arrest, DUI or posession, sometimes it's an overdose or other health problem. They are usually the last to see their own problem. I think it would suck to have to face the problems he has with the drugs while the spot light is pouring down on him, but that's the price you pay for doing what he does.
I'll take the quotes of Rush 01XLT posted a face value and see how things turn out. So far he seems to have taken responsibility for his own actions, I never heard of Clinton doing that.
BTW I'm not a Rush fan or a card carrying Republican. I just hate when people make judgements on what they think are other peoples motivations rather than their words and actions.

Hmmmm,
I guess that statement doesn't apply to everyone though does it. It will be interesting to see what happens to the big windbag. I don't think it is going to be anything that is equal to someone that doesn't have the $$$$ that he has.
The key phrase in the above statement is key"Conservatives have always and to this day believe the Constitution was written to guarantee individual freedom to certain extent" sums it all up. TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. That is where the control comes in, as long as it is what those conservatives agree with, then it is fine. Telling AJ that he needs to go re-read something and to study it well is what the blowhard Rush would say to somebody who doesn't agree with him. You see that is the difference, you disagree with us and we must be wrong because you obviously are right.

Again you’re confusing what conservatives believe. They believe EVERYONE should be treated EQUAL in ALL aspects of life and that includes LAWS on the books. No one gets a break based on race, gender etc. Conservatives have always and to this day believe the Constitution was written to guarantee individual freedom to certain extent.Have you no regards for an orderly society? To have one there are laws, “rules” that must be followed. It is not as you liberals believe which is to “think” that individual freedom means for everyone to do as they wish with no regards for those they live among in society. That is not what the Constitution was written for. If you truly believe that you had better go back and re-read it and study it well.
That is right my friend there is NO FREE-FOR-ALL in our society and the framers of the Constitution NEVER intended it to be a free-for-all.
Liberals do NOT like laws and regulations because they have an illusion that ”individual freedom” actual means to do what ever they want whenever they want, however they want, there is all gray area and no black and white.
Do you actual realize that if that type of individual freedom were allowed to happen what would happen to America? Well, there would be NO America it would be in a free fall to destruction.
Think about this if you happen to have children and they walk to school. If I was able to have absolute individual freedom I could drive what ever speed I wished to drive. There would be no more 15mph school zone, if I wanted to drive 120mph with all the kids around I could since it was my individual freedom to do so. If I blow out a tire and take a few kids with me no big deal, because it is my individual freedom to drive fast and perhaps the kids should have not been there.
That is one example, there are many others. That is why there are laws and regulations NOT set by conservatives or liberals but by the MAJORITY of society that actually get the fact that individual freedoms have LIMITS, they are not and never will be absolute.
