I Hate Accessing This Site From Home

I'm using the home machine right now.

I usually access this site from work.

While I have cable at home, at the office I use a T1 connection.

Office has a faster machine.

Roller wheel mouse,

etc.

Nothing like that at home. But I cant justify upgrading the home machine when most of my computer time is spent at the office.

The home machine is almost like having a backup winter beater while the "L" (office machine) is in storage.

Oh well. Enough whining for a Saturday morning.

LOL, I love coming home, because the school's on a crappy T1 line and everyone in the county shares it, ugh. OH well, gotta get ready for a nice 13 hour work day

You can get an optical roller wheel mouse for around $15 or just a wheel mouse for even less, and that'd make it easier I bet. (Costs less than buying a whole new machine)

You'll be glad you did (plus, if you don't, you'll be waasting your cable internet money)

Just be glad you have a cable modem and not some 56k that only connects at 28k. That's the boat my mom is in with no end in sight.

lifeguardjoe: I know what you mean, UCF had a shared T1 up untill I decided to stop working there. Now they got at least one t3, I think 2.

Yea, a T3 connection is hard to get used to!

All brand new computers in the labs, huge *** printers, college girls that need help with the computer; ah, the computer experience.

Baaaaaah. I hate you all. I had to go from my cable modem (with my custom built computer) to a 56k on a PII machine. Not to mention I finished my computer a week before I got activated. Its probably out dated already. Stop complaining about your "horrible" cable connection before I come slap you with my lag.

Joe, it used to be Road Runner (which I loved), then it got bought out buy ATT, which was complete crap. My friend 1/2 a mile away would get perfect service while mine was...horrible. Guess he was on a different line. When I left I cancelled it and planned on getting DSL when I got home but it just got bought out by Comcast and my other (yes, i have more then 1 friend) said that it is great, so I might have to give it a chance.
