Closing plants

Ford Motor Co. will close plants in Ohio and Michigan by year's end and another in New Jersey in the first quarter of next year.

And Union workers at the Ford Motor Plant in Belgium are planning a 24-hour strike next week to protest the elimination of 3,000 jobs at site.

Anyone hear about this?

Yep, it was in the news here as the plant that is closing in New Jersey is the Edision truck plant that makes Rangers - the other plant that makes rangers is the St. Paul plant, which will remain open. Too bad for the folks at the affected plants, but I'm happy for a bit more certainty for the folks over in St. Paul...

Yep, for what I know, they already blocked the entrance this last week.
In the long run, the plant will be closed.
Strange because Ford had plans to built the new Focus at that plant.
