401 K (keg) beer savings plan
401 K (keg) beer savings plan
If you had bought $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be
worth $49.00.
With Enron, you would have $16.50 of the original $1,000.00.
With Worldcom, you would have less than $5.00 left.
If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock)
One year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the bottles for the 10 cent
deposit, you would have $214.00.
Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and
Recycle. This is my new retirement program; I call it my 401 Keg program.

You'd have to be living in certain states for the 10 cent deposit though thus, if you're in a non-deposit state, you're better off with WorldCom... LOL....
Great post... I loved reading that and forwarded it on to my buddy at a 'MAJOR' investment firm and told him I was pulling all of my money out. LOL!

We bought in a Nortel telephone and network switch system where I work. Obviously bought out by Avaya. They make great switching equipment and are being used again for the Olympics this year.
I'm both a Cisco guy and an Avaya/Nortel guy... and either are excellent products if you are looking for good, reliable Ethernet switching/routing technologies.
But this Keg plan sounds rather, intoxicating.
