I'm ready for snow again!

Here's what Fall looked like last year around these parts-

Here' what January 26th of 2001 looked like-

I can't wait for it to do it again (this past winter we only had about 6 inches, then a bunch of others that were only a couple inches.) January of 2002 we had 15 inches also...

Some of you guys are nuts! Why on Gods somewhat green earth would you like to have some snow in oct. It makes no sence to me. We get covered with the white ***** sometimes 7 ft at a crack!! (ask CL she knows) and all winter long. Lets all just wish for some of chlorine boys weather and i will be a happy man.

P.S. the squrriel recipe sounds great!!!!

We don't need no stinkin snow! I've got a two wheel drive, set up to go quickly. This snow crap adversely effects the performance.

I know it's not far off, but seeing pics like that one posted by bloomquist makes me wish I lived down south.

Got a nice, thick, crusty layer of frost this morning. Had to warm it up enough for the defroster to work for lack of visibility. Time to get the winter wiper blades on I guess.

The most incredible road stew I've ever seen was on I-70 between Green River, Utah, and Grand Junction, Colorado, in the summer.

Prarie dogs, for who knows what reason, get out on the Interstate and just stand there. You'll be driving along, and they'll be right there in the road, up on their hind legs, looking around, sniffing the air, not moving.

Splat!

Before I saw one of the critters standing in the road, I was wondering what in the heck the dark splotches were all over the raod surface. For mile after mile, there were literally thousands of splat marks.

Got a racoon on the 101 here in Santa Barbara this summer, no way to avoid it. Hordes of 'coons here in the area, I can't believe they're native to Southern California but maybe they are.
