By the way, that Ford is about a 1937 or 38, not 50's
The curved egg-shaped grille with numerous horizontal bars and a trim piece dividing the grille vertically, ran for two years, 1938 and 1939.
The change in 1939 was removal of the V8 emblem from the grille and a sleeker hood ornament.
In the Pic I think I see a V8 emblem on the grille, indicating 1938.

Very good, Green_98!

The factory price was $585
The V8 was 85 hp.
Total Production on all configurations about 94,000.

Well when the 01's came out, I didn't like the difference in them to my 99 Lightning (mainly the wheels) But it kind of grows on ya, and 500 ponies from the factory can make a beliver of you real fast

Correct me if I am wrong, and I very well could be. I was reading the 05's wouldnt have the intercooler due to it would raise the cost to much. If that is true then what happens to the 500hp? would it still be in the high 400's?

You have the intercooler and the supercooler confused
The intercooler fits between the blower and the motor to remover the heat out of the compressed air.
The supercooler works off the a/c system, by supercooling the air charge for a 50hp shot that would last approx 30 sec(I believe, can't remember). Kinda like nitrous but the system would "recharge" itself without having to refill a bottle as in a nitrous kit.
Hope that helps

Yep, your right I did get them confussed. I read that if they went with the supercooler it would bring the price of the truck into the $40,000 plus range and thus they were thinking about not using it in actually production. That's what I read so who knows what will really happen.

So if you don't have the supercooler then, from what it sounds like you would have 450hp, you mentioned a 50hp boost for 30 seconds, so does that sound right?

or would it be 500hp then an extra 50hp? Equaling 550hp at about a 30sec range?

I love the new interior. The exterior will grow on me.
