Oh, yeah. I am as wonderful in person as I am on the board here.

Actually I am a bit shy, so most of the time I don't initiate conversation with strangers, like I might start a topic here. When I post here, I have to think to edit out some personally identifying things, like the names of my friends, but for the most part, I am like what I post.
I am a bit of a smartass amongst my friends, so what I say in the chat rooms, is exactly what I would say in person.

I think for the most part my personality on here is the same as in person. I just have one of those personalities that even though I am trying to be helpful I sometimes seem to be a little harsh, though I do not really mean it that way. I guess that the infliction of my statements are more pronounced on the boards since imagination plays a key role in perception of a comment.

I like the way everyone claims to be on their best behavior here, but an a-hole in person.

At least we're all honest. Well, here we are. If I met you on the street I'd lie my a$$ off.

Yup. I guess I am the same on and off line. Pretty much anyway. Some days it ain't too pretty. Some days I make you forget how ugly it got. Most of the time I'm trying to say something witty that comes out *****ty.:o

I'm about the same in real life and on here, just a hippie that hangs out.

I post more infrequently than most, but I am probably as hardheaded here (because I'm seldom wrong) as I am in person.

Hmmm, that's a hard question. I think IMO, that my personality online is about the same as my real personality. I try to help people on here if I can. And I do that in real life too. I give a kind word to those who help me, as I also do in real life. I'm a little shy, and words on a computer screen are hard to come by in my mind. Which is why I don't post much anymore. College takes up most of my time anyways. But basically I am an easy going guy who likes to find a good laugh. And some of you guys can make me laugh my a$$ off. No offence. That's just a little bit about my personality.

For the most part with me what you see, or read in this case, is what you get. Exception to that is that online it is very hard to convey the proper "feeling" or "emotion" that we do through body language or tonal changes while on the phone.
I've ticked people off or made them suspicious of me online before unintentionally by typing what I would say but due to lack of other languages..body or voice inflections it came out very differently than in person.

PBCrisis pretty much said it all. To a degree, everyone is going to be different on here than in real life. Because we can't actually say something exactly how we would really say it without sounding stupid or something. Like PBCrisis mentioned, since we can't use body language or tone of voice on here, things never come out the way that we planned it.

The kind of posting I was talking about is the kind where people come back with a smart remark or something to a question that someone asked. Would that person really be like that in real life or is that not characteristic of them. I'm not saying anything bad about anyone, because everyone does things like that all the time, because people can be opposite too. They can be real nice on here and be mean and rude as ever elsewhere.

I just thought about this and figured that it would make for a good discussion, and it has too!

GASGUZZLER007 once called me the official F150online.com smartass...

yeah, I would say I'm pretty much the same in person, except not as tall.

The magic of it all is the F-150 connection.
So true my friend

I try to reflect my feelings in my posts, so I dont think I would be too different in person. Im just a 19 yr old college kid who LOVES TO PARTY and drive my F-150!!!

Hmmm... interesting question. I think that face to face I'm more likely to not say something or keep it to myself. When I'm online and see someone whose post is idiocy or really off the wall I have to ask why.
