Home Depot
I don't really like HD that much but did have a good experience, once.
I was getting new deadbolts and door handles for the in-laws house. I wanted them all keyed alike . Which cost about 2.50 per lock. I had six locks done. The guy was grouching the whole time while he was doing it. When he was done and handed me my locks and keys with the ticket. I said "Thank You, sir" and shook his hand. He grabbed the ticket back and tore it up saying "Good guys don't pay for this service"
Hey I saved $15.00

Ok, I was in a pretty grouchy mood before seeing this post. Since it's about Home Bleepot, I am that much grouchier.
I go out of my way to avoid Home Depot. The only good stuff they sell are Defiant Deadbolts and ***** and Ryobi Power tools.
IN case you are ever in Bradenton Fl., the HD here is absolutely one of the crappiest stores ever. NO parking, no contractors drive thru deal, it sits sideways on one of the biggest roads in town. You can't even cut through the back of the building to escape the place. It is dinky for a HD, there is barely six feet between most isles. ON top of that, they have clogged most of the center of the store with wallpaper, appliances, mini blinds, and all kinds of other stuff. They are constantly out of stock of stuff. Important stuff, like supply lines for sinks, and bathtubs. The place here just flat out sucks.
On the other hand, Lowe's opened here about two years ago. It is Huge, has plenty of parking, an excellent commercial services program, and it always loaded with good stuff. I just call in what I need and they pull it for me. I just drive up and load it.
I can't say enough about our Lowe's, and if you want a piece of baseboard that is 8 or 10 or 14 ft. long, you don't have to monkey around with cutting a 14ft. piece on your own.
The other Home Depots I have been to around the country have been pretty nice and carry a lot mroe stuff.
Here, I will go to MOm and pops RIP-me-a-new-one hardware before I step foot in Home Depot.

HD here is just okay, always hard to find someone to help you.
Years ago in Virginia there were two other stores with the same concept, can't remember their names (instead of orange one was green and the other yellow in their color schemes). Maybe Raoul remembers the names. They were great. They ALWAYS had an answer man at a desk in the middle of the store - good knowledgeable person that got you on your way quickly with good results...
