Lance is the Man
I realize that many of you aren't cycling fans but Lance Armstrong today accomplished a feat in sports that no other sport comes close to. Five straight wins in the tour. Miguel Indurain is the only other person to have won five straight, not taking anything away from the Spainard but when he did it, there wasn't much competition, so it was more him against the course which is incredibly brutal alone. Lance now joins cycling's greats with this win.
Hopefully the American press and Sports Writers will give him the proper credit due for such a feat. Lance is truly a sports legend. This years tour was a great one and next years will be even better as Jan Ullrich will surely train like he has a chance to finally wear the winners jersey.
Lance is truly the monster of the bike!

OLN has done some great coverage this year. I look forward to seeing the final stage later today. But, I have followed CyclingNews and Velonews coverage as well.
Lance Armstrong is truly a gifted athlete, but also a remarkably "driven" man. I hope he goes for the "six pack" next year.

Yeah, he's definately super-human...
To come back from testicular and brain cancer to win FIVE STRAIGHT Tour de France events... very impressive.
Anyone read his book?

I might add that Samuel Abt had written a very interesting book about Greg Lemond several years ago. Might be interesting to read them both.
