I believe, dont quote me, but the sport has a 4.10 gear compaired to the 3.55?

GASGUZZLER007

I have an XL as well. I hate power windows and power door locks. When they break, its $110 to fix each window. XL's are also V6, 4.2 is enough for my single cab.
I have an XL, but I opted for the 4.6L

And the Mariners also signed their first draft pick in the past day or so and he immediantly went out and paid off his Mom and Dads home and bought a Lincoln Navigator

Andhow the Mariners are 3rd in the overall Major league standing I believe (were 1st for several months, until pitching droppped a little but M's are now picking back up and winning again)

My Fav player on the M's is Ichiro of course and next fav is Edgar and Willie Bloomquist... Glad to find another Baseball fan out there, the rest of them either don't like any team or else they just like football or soccer

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Sport comes with:
-Color Keyed front and back bumpers
-Color Keyed grill
-Sport sticker (10 hp)
-Upgraded mirrors (like the ones on XLTs)
-Standard 40/60 split seats (xl)

The flareside is an option. You can also upgrade to an XLT which will come with power window, doors, mirrors and carpet.
I haven't heard of the sports having 4.10 gears. I've seen them with 3.55 and 3.08.

As for power windows and locks, I wish I diden't have them.

When I went shopping for trucks, I had 4 things in mind. Flareside, Black, V8, and Power. The only Flareside they had just happened to be black and all power, just didn't have the V8. Settled with the 6-Banger cause I probably couldnt have afforded a V8 anyways.

Never knew I had 3.55 gears Looks like I have that second package you mentioned.

Mine is a 2002 XL Sport Supercab Flareside.

Let me see if I can get everything that I have:

-Color matching grill, bumpers and mirrors
-V6
-Automatic
-60/40 seats
-overhead console
-cruise control and tilt wheel
-3.55LS
-any several other things I can't think of

One thing that I have noticed with the sport package is that the rear end seems to be a little lower in the rear end than the same truck without the sport package. Someone else on here a while back mentioned the same thing about their truck.

My truck is an XLT Sport Supercab (4x4)

Depending on the configuration, certain options were different when I was shopping.

On the supercab model, the XLT has the "flip out" windows in the back, you know the 1/4 windows. On the XL, those windows don't open, they are permanently closed. (That's how it was in 02 when I was shopping)

As far as the "sport"ackage, I think each model year it has varied somewhat.
In 02, my $895 Canadian dollars bought me the sport package which included
- painted front and rear bumpers
- 17 inch wheels
- honeycomg grill with body colour surround
-3.55 gears, but adding the LS option cost me an extra 300 bucks or so
- silver "4x4 Sport" decals which were removed asap
- 40/60 bench with special crappy material that has been replaced by the dealer twice already because it frays, and it's cheap.

and of course like every said already, XLY is just power everything which includes a tach, cruise control, and compass.

That's all I can think of right now.

I want power everything! Oh well, this is one of the best "first" cars I could ever have.
