This stuff has been discussed, in detail, numerous times on the boards.

The general consensus is that it's a good product but, don't let it 'substitute' as your wax. Use it for shine...not protection.

Doesn't it end up waxing your windows also??? I tried that blue coral car wash crap and it waxed up the windows, so now they look all smeared and hazey......

Nothing like turtle wax and elbow grease.

It shines good, no doubt.

What I do is, to prevent it from touching the windows is to use separate towels. I dry the windows first wiht one towel, and spray the body and dry with another. Works good.

Whats a good wax I can use from say, murrays?

From a retail perspective, I would recommend Meguiars #26 or Meguiars Gold Class.

The consensus is that the #26 (tan bottle with the words MIRROR GLAZE Premium Yellow Carnauba Wax) is much better than the Gold Class (even though some swear by the gold class).

Also, it should be said that a shine is only as good as the preparatory work that you put into it. If your finish has swirls and stuck on contamination, your shine won't get anywhere...

If you take a couple of extra hours and make sure that the prep work on your paint is done and done correctly, you'll see a NOTICEABLE difference.

I know you've got a great shine now but, ask anyone who is ultra serious about paint care (01 XLT included) and they'll tell you the same.

The shine, from what I can tell from various information sources on the web, is generally a function of the silicones that are in the product. Hence, it will gloss the truck up (just like crisco would) but, the protection isn't going to be any better than carwash spray on wax.

Make sure that you don't stray from a quality wax as the base... if for nothing else... for the protection.
