LOL. too bad thats the Navy on top but still funny just the same! i'll tell you what though...those groundpounders put up with a lot of chit!

Its times like that imbedded in my mind as to why I got out of the Army. Nothing like laying in muck. Or trying to qualify when its 15 degrees. You start shaking so hard you are lucky to shoot the bullet down range much less hit anything you are supposed to be aiming at.

my dad remembers it too. sitting on alert on deck in the middle of the Persian Gulf in 100+ degree weather. oh yeah...he remembers it

Working in the engine room while in the Persian Gulf in August was no picnic either, not to mention manning GQ with full fire-fighting gear on.

Awww, but there were the Steel Beach Picnics in the Western Pacific and IO!

Well I would say Army and Marines, that would be the same for me. Yes we did work many hours on the flight deck, but being on the front lines that is some serious sh*t. We use to have to worry about jets crashing, but at least you kind of had some warning, them people on the front line never know when some moron is going to pop up and explode themselves...

I am with you on this Gator...
