Well, I was gonna post a poll, but it looks like we don't have that enabled here so I'll just ask........

If you weren't buying an '04..........what year would you say was the "best" year for an F150 Supercab (4.6 or 5.4) & why??? (O.K., I'll include the s-crew HD edition if somebody has reeeal bragging info about 'em!) he he!

I can't remember the details, but I'll spout what I remember from years past.........

I'll say 2002 or 2003 in a 2x4 w/ 5.4L. (Lariat or XLT) Reason being that I believe the 5.4L picked up 25 extra ponies circa' 2000?? (or was it '99?) and in 2002, I believe the seatbelts were taken out of the way so you don't gash your head wide open on the POS plastic as you're trying to put your 3 yr old in her carseat in the back. Grrrrr!!!

 

am i allowed to say '79 reg cab long bed 4x4 with 351 modified.
easy to lift awesome fun to drive and never cared about scratches dents dings or otherwise.
man i miss that truck sometimes although driving it to work was a real bugger.
if i can't have that one i'll take my '02 sc 4x4 with 5.4, and yes i love where they put the belts now. makes it easier to sneak 'em on when the law gets behind me.

 

Fair enough. So then, were there any "significant" changes from '02 to '03??
