not again!!!....

woke up at 1:30 this morning by ,what I thought for a second was an incoming round, then realized it was thunder. then the ominus patter of hail on the window..then it's sprintting out the garage to get the trucks under the carports...appears to be no damage this morning but when I wash them I'm sure I'll find something..as for me,I'm injured, seems that a piece of marble size came down right between my face and my glasses and appariently bruised my eye...felt like someone stuck thier finger in my eye

Man can I relate to that, living in Fla. Had a 67 Mustang that I put alot of money into, then this frigging hail storm put a serious screwing on the hood, top and trunk!

Now in Jersey, all I have to worry about is..........everything

I got caught on the interstate in the rush hour parking lot last week when it started hailing about the size of a quarter. Pretty big stuff. I crossed the median (love my 4x4) and hauled A$$ back to an exit about 1/2 mile back and got under the overpass along with about 20 other vehicles. My buddy has a '98 supercab 4.2l, he was in the same traffic jam and sat through it. The insurance adjuster looked at his truck on Thursday. Sux pretty bad.

One interesting result of the storm, I had no body damage but the fins on my radiator are all beat to heck. It was still hailing when I took off for the underpass and I guess the hail coming through the grill beat up the radiator. Wonder if I need to do anything about it?

Mike, if the fins on the radiator are all bent up it can cause cooling problems this summer. The air will not flow properly through the radiator and it may not be able to cool your engine in hot weather. If it is damage you are sure is caused by hail try to have it replaced. That is exactly why we pay the insurance company our hard earned money.

Ouch Tex. That's rough.

Glad to hear that there wasn't any damage and that you're eye is feeling better.

Just thank god it wasn't golf ball, or even worse-soft ball sized hail!

I've been through a softball sized hail storm... mother nature really showed off.

I'll dig those pics out for you guys one of these days...
