The original reason for the crash is he was trying to spin the rear around....but the car produces nowhere near enough power to make the rear break loose like that.

Rigging the wastegate so it doesn't open (easy to do) on a turbo MR2 WILL produce more than enough power to break the rear loose. He WASN'T trying to spin the rear around. Watch the front wheels closely, they barely turn from the straight ahead position the whole time. The rear end steps out to the right and he has no idea how to handle it, brakes, the rear hooks, and shoots him straight off to the left.

 

The original text for the description of the video said that he was tryign to 180 the car.

the girl mentions that whoever was hit just had his car fixed...wonder what he did, probably something similar if I had to guess. It kinda scares me there are kids out there this dumb...I did some crazy stuff in HS but I was shown the correct way to handle cars/trucks from the get go so it never got out of my control
