What do you all think about that? Winston cup is going to allow RICE (Toyota) into the truck racing and Winston cup. I believe next year Toyota will be racing in the truck series and I think 2005 either Toyato or Nissian in Winston cup.

They say since they are "assembled" in America they can race in Winston Cup.

I think that sucks, I don't want no damn rice on the track...

 

Ahh, let em' race. All the Ford's an Chebies can run circles around them and embarass their rice a$$es. They'll problably have TYPE-R stickers as sponsors on the sides of the fenders. It net's them an extra million each season.

 

Well, maybe it will give Toyota more research and development for their truck lines, but I still do not think they can be competitive on track races with Ford or Chevy or maybe even Dodge. Ford rules!

 

competition is alway's good. It will push the Ford-Dodge-Chevy guy's to push thier trucks even farther.

Nissan if debuting their full size truck this fall also. Maybe they will get in on the action too. Just FYI the Nissan is supposed to be bigger than the F150. Whereas the Tundra is 95% the size of an F150 the Titan is supposed to be 105% the size.

 

Let em race. It'll make the race more interesting.

Has anyone considered the fact that Winston is talking about pulling out of racing?Sure doesent seem like a good time to be exclusionary NASCAR just may need the Toyotas..food for thought.

Probally not a camry, that's their compact car. I would think they would be racing the Avalon.

I though I saw the Toyota Nascar poster when at the Toyota dealer with my friend...he owns a MR2. I had to take a closer look. Didn't expect to see a Toyota Nascar! I think it is a Toyota Solera. Crazy business!

 

I rather watch paint dry, than watch Nascar ***** itself out to the Japenses car manufactors......
