Here's the clincher though

it's a fraud.

They wont have the overhead cam Toyota motor in them.

i watched the last race and they said they will have the pushrod engine in them.

But that my opinion
GOOD opinion. It is suppose to be American Cars designed and built in America not just assembled. Hell next thing you know NASCAR will have a minivan division for competition.

It is bad enough to hear them fight back and forth (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Grand Prix) about who has the advantage now we will have to listen to them whine about “why can’t we have a big wing”? “That’s not fair they have a horsepower advantage over us”…

Ok...I wasn't going to post on this because I always come off looking like an A-Hole but...imports in winston cup...Im not much of a nascar fan but that is ridiculous..I dont care where they are assembled. American nameplates only. Not that one would ever win but...what would they pour on the driver instead of champagne.....saki? Lets keep the rice-rockets in our Vin Diesel movies and out of our circle tracks.

"Here comes Takamoto making a move on the outside.."

The only thing that would be more GAY in nascar than imports is Jeff Gordon..

Im not taking sides here but dont think they cant make horsepower, have you ever seen a Toyota V8 powered offroad race truck.TRD has a pretty big r and d program and is invoved in many aspects of racing.Whats the harm and why not a mini van division.Did anyone 20 years ago think pickups would be racing on the highbank ovals, guys this is the 21st century NASCAR is no longer a bunch of ex moonshiner good old boys spittin tobacker at each other.I think some healthy competition is a good thing for any sport. As far as toyota not using its overhead cam motors, well niether is Ford,GM is still using small block chevys and dodge is using small block LA series motors. So the more I think about it I guess I am taking the side of letting the Toyotas in,like I said in my last post if Winston pulls out NASCAR just may need the Toyotas. As far as big wings and other such junk there are just as many on american kids cars now and you dont see them in NASCAR they have rules,if you remember right Chrysler started all of that in 69-70 with the Daytonas and Superbirds and ran so fast NASCAR said enough and banned them from racing. So try not to be so narrow minded and give them a chance its not the end of the world.

A Minivan division, I was only kidding and someone really wants to see a soccer moms division in Nascar?

I could just see that a soccers moms division. Better yet would be to see them race that "special" week of the month then we could watch some "serious" road rage...
