Programs to record radio broadcasts

I'm looking for software that I can set up to record either a AM or FM radio broadcast from my stereo (not internet streaming), perferably with a start/stop timing function. I'm looking at recording a 2-4 hour broadcast. Any good programs out there?

Thanks.

Cool Edit Pro

You can export to mp3 format.
Make sure you have lots of freespace on your harddisk cause full stereo will take 10 Mb per minute (44 kHz, 16 bit stereo)

4 hours recording will take at least 2 Gigabyte.
You can set different formats for recording in CEP however but quality will get worse.

Do a search on the net for CEP and you will probably find it.
Try it out first then go buy the software.
Maybe you can install the limited demoversion first.
