I have never seen a Land Rover in Jersey do more than cut across the median, something that a Pinto could do in second gear

Is the Pinto doing that on its own power or being propelled by the flames at the rear of the vehicle?

You are confusing a Pinto with the Batmobile

The Pintos only shot flames if they were rear-ended at a moderate speed, but then it was car-b-que time!

do you think the reason you dont see them is because the h1 goes for $110,000 and the h2 goes $55,000.

sorry but my supercrew was around 30k and i am not real happy about ther 2 door dings i have, could you imagine offroading, and i am not talking about taking it easy, a vehicle that cost as much as a descent house. I do alright but i would be sick if i put a big nasty scratch on a $55,000 vehicle that i had to pay on another 4 years. give me an early bronco with a good running 302 and an earl schibes paint job.

Exactly........but the question remains, why buy a 100K vehicle vehicle that you wouldn't use to its capacities?
What a minute, I think I know the answer to that one myself, If I won the Lottery, I would buy a 200mph Supercar, even though I couldn't use it to its capacities.

More money than common sense, I guess

well we have an annual car show here. one of the regular classes is hummers. of the 3 or 4 that usually show up the one that gets the most loooks is the one that looks as thought it's never been waxed. it's 3 years old and looks like 20 from all the scratches down the sides. it has a very nice stereo system but you tend not to see it, due to looking at the gps/navigation/and computer system on board.
the guy who owns it is from austria i think. he has pictures in an album of all the adventures he's been on with it. almost makes me feel bad for owning my truck. i wouldn't do it to mine.

Three days after I brought my truck, a 2wd, I was out on small trails way back in the woods. Had to go trough the bushes just to get out. Why pay a lot of money on something that you can't use? I don't want my truck to look bad either, but It is a truck and I use it like truck is supposed to be used.

Like this one?

We took her everywhere! She was a beauty with that Viper Blue paintjob .....we didn't mind "exploring" in her!

However, I couldn't spend that kind of $$ on a truck and then tear her up..get scratches, etc.....NO WAY....unless I had $$ dripping out my

navigirl - you read my mind

fast gator - as soon as i can afford a $100,000 dollar car i will get back to you on that one.

paul - i use my truck everyday to get to and from work and haul a pallet of material once or twice a week, use it on the weekends to get the ususal stuff from home depot and clean it up and have no problem putting on a suite and taking my wife to a fine resturant or company function, thats why i got a truck. also at 3 days old i was still taking it easy on the motor. i would think a 4 wheel drive supercrew would be so heavy it would sink in the mud

make fun of people who buy them but hey they can afford it and i am willing to admit it is out of my range, who here can afford one and still make a house note?

clear coat on plain metel is a good color. If I got any off road vehicle, it would deffinatly be one like this. Then I could use the hummer to pull the trailer, HEHE
