Caught two Car Jackers!!

My Grand National was stolen from in front of my house about 5 months ago. I got a settlement check and bought my Lightning. Well I was outside cleaning my truck when a Honda Accord drives by me in my neighborhood revving his engine. Two teenagers get out and walk out of my neighborhood (250 yards) in the opposite direction of the car. I had never seen the car or the teenagers before so I was suspicious. I used to be a cop in the Air Force so I still think like one. Since my car was stolen I have been much more observant of everything. I call the police and give them the plate and they take all the info. Well they call me back and the detective told me it was car jacked the night before with a sawed off shotgun!! I almost walked up to them to tell them to slow down!! Thankfully when I saw them coming my way my first thought was they may want my truck so I went inside. A guy was just killed here at a gas station a mile from my house when he resisted some car jackers so that was in the back of my mind as well. He was only 24. Long story short they caught the guys and I identified them about thirty minutes later. You never know what your going to run up against!! I need to go apply for my concealed weapons permit!!

Yep. It's a good thing you didn't hang around. You could have been next!
You should get a CWP while you can. They are passing laws left and right against them. Odd, though, it's more likely to be the ones without the permits you need to worry about.

Great job man. Vandalism and theft have to be two of the most dispicable crimes. Anyone who is morally corrupt enough to commit either one deserves to be in jail. BTW- I prefer the Beretta 92F myself.

Beretta 92Fs are really nice!! Carried one for awhile in the Air Force. I worked at a gun store for awhile and have HKs, Kimber, Glock, Springfield Armory and a Ruger revolver.

My personal favorite is my Bennelli M-1 Super 90, ghost Rings, and a 7 round tube, 1 in the pipe.

No pump, no fuss. They need to sift the remains to get finger prints...

Handguns are great...

but there's nothing like hearing the sound of a pump shotgun's action being worked to strike fear into the heart of assorted miscreants!

I have never had the opportunity to visit Little Rock. Haven't heard very good things about it.

I bought mine used ( consignment at a gun shop ) several year ago, before the ban law went into affect. This was from the years that pistol grip shoulder stocks were still valid in combo with the 7 round tube, and the rings.
I forget the entire sting of it can have 1 or 2 out of X (?) items on it now a days to be legal.
This was back when an AR-15 was an AR-15, not a Match lite-weight target, Flat Top Elite , or what ever the new name of the year for it is.
Got to love it, they call out guns by name, and before the bill ever passed congress, they changed the name of it, so it is no longer on the list, and can be sold
I also have a Hammerli .22 / .32SW target pistol, that is now to be considered illegal as the clip is in front of the trigger...go figure, it is only used by target shooters, but the clip in front makes it an assult gun ? Or is that Sat. night special ( is that a Hammerli in your pants, or are you John Holmes )

Damn Democrats....

Five points: Flash suppressor, bayonet lug, magazine well (I believe this is one), pistol grip and folding stock. You can only have two out of the five for post ban. Fortunately I found a Bushmaster AR-15 pre ban that was really nice that has everything including forward assist. Found it while working at the gun store here. Excellent condition.

BlkLtng02,

Thanks, I could not recall the exact grouping. Is that the same for the shotgun also ( 2 out of 5 ) ?

I recall that there are after market shoulder sotcks with pistol grips, and pistol grips alone, but I thought you had to have a gun from a specific year to use them, else it was a violation of BATF rules.

Thanks again for the clarification.

Strange, is this where the redneck owns Fords myth comes from. ?
The shotgun rack in the truck with the bumper sticker that says :"HELL yes I'm drunk what do you think I am, a stunt driver ? "
