Angry I need to vent....

I'll probably get flames by some folks for this post, but given how angry I still am from what happened yesterday, so be it.

First Off ..............I hate Ricers.........

Last night on my way home from work and picking up my five year old (rush hour traffic and all) I got run all the way off the road narrowly missing a ditch and power pole, by we'll call him 'Pedro', in his rice burning Mitsu playing Gran Prix of Orlando. At any rate, after I gathered myself, I ran him down a few red lights later. While sitting at the light, I wrote his tag # down which he apparently witnessed me doing, so when the light changed and I went around him, he threw a hand full of pennies off the side of my 2001 Screw. At this point the pursuit continued. I dialed the local Sheriff while following this moron, which had a car head us off approximately 5 miles later. When we both exited our cars to comply with the cop, 'Pedro' decided to try and sucker punch me (right there in front of the cop!!). I side stepped his attempt, threw an elbow of my own, and while Pedro lay on the ground bleeding and semi-conscious, the cop and I discussed what had happened. In the end, Pedro went to the hospital, his car went to Police impound, the cop had to fill out an arrest report for Pedro (which he'll take care of when Pedro is released from the hospital) and I have a sore right arm. Worst of all, my five year old now has a lot of questions as to why the man tried to hit Daddy and why Daddy hit the man. After all, I've made it very clear to him that hitting others is not the way to handle things.

I have resented these a**holes and what they stand for for a long time, but I never thought that one of them would be stupid enough to take a bad situation this far.

Oh, by the way, Pedros last words to me while being removed to the ambulance on a stretcher: "I'm gonna get you". You'd think he'd have learned from this experience what is and isn't appropriate behavior, but apparently he's too stupid to learn anything.

Like I said before, I just needed to vent a little. Thanks for listening.

only thing that kind of bothers me is your chased and followed him down with your 5yr old. Who know's what could have happened, he had the nerve to actually go after in front of a cop, there's far worse people out there that would go after you with a gun.

Nice story!

Too bad you didn't give Pedro a couple of extra boots to the head, while he layed on the ground, just a couple of extra bonus kicks for good measure.

I hate aggressive retards like that, the only thing they understand is a good beating.

Well done, sounds like you handled it perfect.

Well, I applaud you for (1): tracking down this moron and taking the proper action in getting a cop on the scene to arrest him, and (2) telling your daughter that violence is not usually the best way to handle things in the real world.

As a parent of three grown sons, however (so I speak with some experience), kids also have to know that there may come a time when you have to stand up for yourself and protect yourself and those you love...even if it gets physical. But, ya also gotta be smart about it because you never know who's packin' what these days.

With luck, she'll never have to resort to physical violence to defend herself, but bullies only seem to listen to one sort of message.

I always have found the words of John Bernard Books (John Wayne) in "The shootist" to be a good policy: "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them."

Point taken, and you're absolutely right. Sometimes 'my' temper overwhelms my intelect. In hindsight I probably should not have followed him at all regardless of whether my son was in the truck or not. Note for next time (which I hope doesn't happen again).

Ya but I bet it felt damn good to get him LOL.

I do the same things sometimes with my g/f in the truck, I know I should because it's risky for her but I just can't let it go sometimes.....I'm learning though

Nothing pisses me off more than when some inbreeder does something stupid on the road and I have my kids in the car. If he wants to endanger himself, that's fine. Seems like it always happens that way. When I'm by myself and could/would handle it differently, seems nothing happens!

The plot thickens ......

Called the sheriff's office late this afternoon to check-up on where they stood with this case. Apparently, after I left the scene yesterday, two officer's searched Pedro's car and found: one bag of marijuana, and several stolen items.

Soooo, the tally of charges for 'Pedro' currently stands at..........
1 count - Reckless Driving
1 count - Assault
1 count - Possession of a controlled substance
1 count - Possession of stolen merchandise

I think 'ol Pedro's history!!

Was thinking today that I might go to the Police auction when Pedro's car is auctioned and bid on it. Maybe, if I could get it cheap enough, I'll take it to the local crusher and film it being crushed. Anybody like to see that film?

I am with Habibi here. That guy sounds like a real co*k-a-roach. We all know the best way to handle a co*k-a-roach is to squish it thoroughly with a boot, steel toed preferred.

I am curious, did you happen to take the opportunity to reduce his ricers horsepower by removing any stickers? Also, did you know there are some new stickers on the market for your truck to give fair warning to ricer co*k-a-roach drivers?

“This vehicle is a co*k-a-roach exterminator”

See, all cops aren't bad.

Glad to hear everything turned out for the good!

Sounds like Pedro will be going to state prison. It couldn't have happened to a Ricer guy!!! Oh, I mean nicer guy.HEHE
