Off topic, but...
I know the dude that owns the Galaxie pretty well. He's been after me to sell him my car for over five years. He stopped by my place with pics of the detailed build of the Ford. It was a rust & hit free car from the Southwest. He's a real car head and did the car up right. The engine is already done up with some serious go fast goodies. Nicely detailed throughout.
I bought the Nova from my Cousin whom built the car from the ground up. This car is done up right! It is an older resto done in '84 so it needs a cosmetic resto at this time. Either way I plan to repaint it late this summer. It currently has 34,000 miles on the rebuild. The car has basically sat for the past four years.
I offered my Cousin and his Sons first refusal on the car for what I paid for it back in '93 which was $3200. Many a vehicle has gravitated between us over the years in the same fashion.
I may just keep what I've got! I'll see after it's painted.
Hey Sonic, where ya from?

Yo #356...
I'm suprized you didn't bring up my meds!
The Galaxie is pretty rare. You just don't see them around! The Nova is really fun to drive. It handles well due to suspension upgrades and a quick ratio steering box. You can actually power steer this thing with the throttle! Apples and oranges I suppose.

Just my opinion but I say trade. I had a '62 Galaxie - blew the original Y block (292) & found a 390 HP from a '64 T Bird to swap in. That stock 390 was very impressive! Had the car not been stolen from storage after I moved to Buffalo I'd still have it. I did find another '62 but never got to restore it - I still have it.
Go for the Galaxie - you WON'T be sorry!

Assuming they are both in good shape, and there isn't alot to do with the Galaxie...i would make the swap!Just my thoughts.....
Good luck, and let us know!
Hey FXDX
Heres a pic of me and Kevin, the owner of a sweet Galaxie. Gona get some shots of his car and post them. We where celebrating the Bucs victory over Philly. I'll see him today for some good ole buccaneer drinking and cheering

I think you mean Nova's are a dime a dozen - correct ...???

Yo Gator,
Thanks for the pic of you and your buddy. I spent the day with my Cousins, Jersey boys as well. We were out target shooting with tracer rounds in the snow. Cool light trails!
Haven't seen those in over 20 years... Oh yeah, that was different.
They're from Skillman, two miles from Princeton. We usually hook up a few times a year and go to Somerville cruise night. Sometimes to Freehold. Plenty of high dollar rods around there!
Looking foward to the Galaxie pics. I plan to talk to the cat with the Ford this week sometime and see if he's still interested once I paint the Nova and put the ball back in his court.
