I went down there w/ my g-friend (now wife) and her family in 95 or 96, and I'm in no hurry to go back. The park was at capacity (they closed the gates and wouldn't let anybody else in), the temp was in the mid 90s with mid 90% humidity, and I had to push my wife's step dad around in a wheelchair all day (damn good thing it's flat down there!).
The lines were outrageous, but we were escorted to the front of the line since we had someone in a wheelchair. My wife and I only road 1 ride w/out the rest of the whole fam damily (spacemountain) it took around 2.5-3 hours (before the new zip pass thing).
and the admission price has only gone up since then!
I thought Epcot was OK, but outdated.
MGM was pretty cool, but I wouldn't go back just for it.

The attendants were VERY coureous and polite, although.

me, my wife, 2 kids and my mother-in-law went in mid November.
Lines? longest line was 30 minutes for Peter Pan, walked in and sat down on space mountain. Definetly the place to go with kids under 10 or 11. We stayed in the park and the transportation was great. Dont go there if you are on a tight budget. Dont even want to add up what it cost but it was a great family trip that we will always remember. If you want coasters, Universal is not far away and the "Hulk" might do it for you. take an umbrella stroller for kids under 5. we did magic kingdom (2 days) disney mgm, Animal kingdom, and 1/2 day at epcot (test track was cool)

I had to yell out "whoooo" before I got on space mountain. Place turns you into a kid.

It has been 12 years ago since I was there. I can only imagine the place has changed(grown). I remember my family and I got there early and we were the only vehicle in the parking lot(s). That was very strange, and we thought the park was closed. But it was'nt. I can't wait to go back. I think I'll take my neice and nephew's when I go. They'll have a blast.

Hey Fast Gator, I heard from some PF that you installed the drain lines on the Mayflower..Just how long you been fitt'n??
On the serious side, my wife, two daughters and I flew down to Disney World two years ago for vacation and had the time of our lives. Stayed at Orleans on the Water, (at least I think that was it)
what a place.
My two daughters who were then 11 and 7, were chosen to open the Magic Kingdom one morning, and were picked at several other attractions to participate. It was a time they will never forget.
We are going back someday, but this year it will be back to Cape Hatteras as is the norm for vacation.
I was very interested in Disney's underground as I am involved in the maintenance in this plant, but unfortunately was not able to get down there.

I live in Tampa..and have been to Busch Gardens plenty of times.....and while they do have some good rides...Islands of Adventure (a park of Disney World) has the BEST rides I have been on in a long time. So far the HULK ride is the best..I reccomend it to all!

BG has added some new rides in the past few years which have been awesome..they have a wooden coaster now...however, I dont like it becuase it KILLS my back! Very rough ride.

Yes, I know it's apart of Universal...which I thought was a part of Disney?

I realize it's not actually located in Disney World.....but Disney owns all that land I am pretty sure.
I could be wrong though.

Anyways, "Disneyworld" is more for the little ones...for the REAL rides, etc..you have to branch out to Disney's other parks...ie: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.

The REAL rides are at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. I haven't made it there yet, though. My wife and I had a trip planned to go the mountains of upstate NY, and hit Cedar Point on the way, but things didn't work out and we had to cancel the trip

Maybe someday we'll make it there...

i went to DW in 1986,88,90,93,96, and 2001 and i loved every minute of it! now my only complaint was after 1990 (when i noticed this), that there were more foreiners in dw than in all the other countries!

WDW

Good to hear you had a great time! We've gone every year for the past 4 years. Planning on going back in the fall. The only "real" roller coaster at WDW is the Rock & Roll Rollercoaster at MGM-very cool. I'm hoping to make it to Busch Gardens in Tampa myself...heard there's alot of awesome coasters there.

For your next trip or anyone else going there's a WDW board that has alot of great info on discount "on-property" rates, tips and tricks type stuff. www.disboards.com

I learned alot of important planning tips from that board.

Thanks Jonny mo,

I thought the Rock-n-Roller Coaster was great!! My wife and oldest son got to ride right behind the two stars for the movie Kangaroo Jack. I didn't get to go on that one, I had to wait till the next round cause I had to wait with my youngest son..Oh well.

Thanks for the site, I'll be sure to check it out.

Mike

I have been there more times than I care to remember. I always liked EPCOT the best. I live 30 minutes from Busch Gardens and I like it better.
