Home Surround System advice
Home Surround System advice
Okay you audiophiles, lend me your ears.
I've been trying to decide on a home system. Several of us on this site kicked around the Bose vs Polk Audio speakers in a different thread. I just about decide the PA's are the way to go, and went to one more Audio store to check out the products. The salesman let me listen to Bose, PA's, and Mirage Omnipolar's. I don't remember all the Model numbers, but the prices were comparable. The Mirage Omnipolar's sounded significantly better than the PA's and the Bose.
My question is: (surely you knew I'd get around to a question)
Anybody out there have any experience with Mirage speakers?

Well, I have Polk Audio speakers in my house and I recommend them. I have the RT2000ps as my fronts, CS400 as my center, and RT35s as my surrounds and they sound great, even though I'm only pushing 70w into each with my Onkyp receiver.
I have a bose system that I aqm very satisfied with. One honest salesman told me that when you go into a store you are listening in as near a perfect environment as they can create. That will never happen in your home. The result is that as long as you go with a good system and keep the volume where you don't have plaster falling on you it is impossible to tell the difference between any of the quality models.
Just make sure you get the best pop corn!!
