Angry 6.0 incentives

Sounds like Ford is not going to honor the incentives on the new 6.0. What a bunch of crap if you ask me.

With all the hype and interest in it, why would they? If it doesn't get the demand that think it will (and from fearing from someone that has driven one, oh ya, there will be a demand) I'm sure they will incent it. But for now, they don't need to; they have a plan!

Hi

Chevy did same with the Duramax. No incentives/take it or leave it when it first came out. $40,000.00+ That was price here.

On paper the 6.0 with new a/tranny looks great...but you know..its not a real time proven engine...time will tell. Hopefully they got the bugs worked out...they did have R/D problems etc.

I cant imagine alot of people dumping their proven PSD for the new one..of course some will...so will be interesting to see how the sales go....you'll know soon enough.

I know Ford has incentives on the F series etc...but this new 6.0 not gonna happen right away.

Shakey times for Ford. so looks like wait and see time.

Exactly, shakey times for Ford. And I agree, not many are going to dump their 7.3 and spend more are a new 1st year setup. Ford just bought back my problem plauged 01 screw and I am losing confidence in them, slowly but surely. I will sit and wait I guess, because we all know how this will go, 30 days after release, the incentives will hit. Maybe that will give us a chance to see how others fare with the new setup.

Hi Terry

Thats a bummer on the buy back. I know others here have posted on going thru that. Geez!

Are you interested in getting a SD 6.L diesel?

Im in process of pricing out new SD as i need larger truck/engine.. This new 6L caught my attention...but its way more than i need.
Im aware of most pros/cons V10 VS PSD.

Im leaning toward the V10...my old F250 had the 460 5sp. So low mpg is not a real concern for me cause yearly mileage is ALOT less than it used to be. It takes a really long time to get a pay back on any of these trucks...i dont think id ever get it with PSD. Im reasonably sure i want be towing/hauling anymore than i already do. Just want to do it better. Confidence in present truck abit shakey.

V10 is a modular...so guess its still a crap shoot?

Good luck....OT
