Lightbulb Draining water separator

I picked up a bad tank of fuel last week. I had to drain the separator twice already. My question is the lever is extremely hard to open and close. Anyone else have this problem or is supposed to be this hard.
Thankyou

Nightmoves,
The lever has some resistance to it but, you should have no problem opening and closing it. You should get in a habit of draining your water separator every third or fourth oil change depending on how often you change your oil. I drain mine every 12,000 miles. It's also a good idea now to change your fuel filter and add some fuel conditioner to your tank as well. Bugman.
