What to do?????????????The wife is not real happy, but she told me to do what I feel is right. I'm thinking NEW TRUCK!!!!!!!!!! She thinks F250s are ugly work trucks, that make too much noise. I guess if they can locate the truck I want it will be a done deal? I have a friend that is going to trade wheels with me and give me his stock 255s and $$$ for my 285s and aftermarket rims. So now I will get $20,000 for my 2001, XLT 4x4 , 5.4, Supercrew with ARE lid, tinted windows, bedliner, and vent gaurds on windows. I guess $20,000 is fair, i had to beg to get that. I found two (XLTs) $40,500 trucks I like , can get it for $35,??? or close to $35,000 + taxes, no dock fees, only taxes. Now do i spend extra and get a Lariate, or a XLT???? If I am going to be in the dog house , i should go all out and get the LOADED out 2002!

Get the truck you want and can comfortably afford!! Take it from me, I was in your shoes just two months ago. I drove the members of this board CRAZY asking the same questions you are asking.

Ready to buy but now I can not find the 2002 I want . I found one solid red XLT 2002 left over, going to try to get it. Have to get 2002 because of the 2.9% and they are cheaper than a 2003.

Hey Gooch, I did the exact samething back in Aug. Trade my 01 F150 Supercrew Lariat 4WD in for a 02 F250 4WD S/C. I got $25k on the trade in and bought using x plan. Can you use the credit union, I got 5% INT and plus got the rebate. It will save you a little. Isnt the rebate $2500 now, I only got $2k. These are AWESOME trucks though!!!

Take the MSRP and times it by .88 and this will get you real clsoe to x plan pricing.

Here's a link to help you locate a truck.

Happy shopping!
