How to change mirrors?

I am changing the stock mirrors on my 2000 SD to the telescoping ones. I am having trouble finding the wire harness so that I can disconnect them. Please Help.

on most ford cars you will have to pull off the door panel to reveal the wires which in most cases have a plug on them inside the door. just pull the panel off and trace the wires back to that plug and and unplug them there then they should just pull out. im asuming you were asking how to remove the old mirrors right?

I had the dealer change my mirrors out before I took delivery of the truck, so can't really tell you how to do it. However, I have the original (non-telescoping) mirrors at home that I can take a picture of the connector and post so you know what to loook for if you think that will help.

Thanks for the info. I found a great description on Ford-diesel.com
You do have to take the door panel off and the connector is behind the speaker. Thanks again
